Default i couldnt beleive my ears !!!!

the minnesota timberwolves general manager says "we can wait for ricky rubio "

"were not going to win in the next 2 years anyways "
"if theres a team that can afford to wait its us "

what !!!!!!!!!!!!

what ever happened to positive thinking ?

arnold once said that the mind always fails first not the body. the trick is to get your mind to work for you not against you. i beleive that is true. if you have it in your mind that your not going to succeed you have already in a sense failed before even trying.

i wouldnt want this guy as my general manager

damage control....he doesn't want to look like an ass for drafting two point guards at 5 and 6 and also doesn't want to look like he "has" to trade Rubio now because he'll get lowball offers.

Rubio is still under contract to his European team. He has a 6.6 million dollar buyout they would have to pay plus his salary. I think that has a lot to do with those comments and they are considering just letting him play it out. He is only 18 years old so really there is no hurry.

It's one thing to be optimistic, but another to be realistic. The Grizzlies won 24 games last year. Do you honestly believe Ricky Rubio makes your team an automatic playoff contender?

Rubio was drafted by the Timberwolves not the Grizzlies. Just as bad a team and one with no head coach yet

I do and have no problem with them leaving the kid overseas another year. Maybe that was the plan and why they drafted 3 point guards in the first round.
