thats fine, but they should put that aside for just a couple of seconds and have respect for the game and the fact that in the end they are all peers in the nba...

I think AS A TEAM Boston should have went and shook Miami's hands but there really is no telling what was going through their minds. For all we know KG could be thinking "I can't believe that was my last game with these guys". I hope he wasn't thinking that but if he was that could have made it really emotional. As for Rondo he played his heart out as did the rest of the C's but he is clearly more emotional than any other player on the team.

Ray Allen has always been a class act. Not a fan of Pierce, but props for staying.
That said, Garnett and Rondo don't surprise me.

I like how OP has the power to post a new thread and then not say a word. REALLY shows what kind of character he is.

i merely pointed out something that kg and rondo did tonight that Lebron got blasted for for WEEKS a couple years ago. how is that trolling?
i'm sure plenty of the people on these boards were the ones calling lebron out and i am stating that i hope they call out rondo and kg for being little babies too... the heat fans gave the celtics big three a standing ovation... they didn't poor beer on them... |

If you would have told me two Celtics left the court early, you wouldn't have to tell me who. Both these guys, while great on the court, leave a reputation that I don't like my son watching. My 10 yr old asked me why they left the court early, enough said.
Class isn't something you can FAKE, class is shown at all times. Both guys have limited class, especially Garnett. He played lights out this series and more people will talk about his classless court leave, instead of his play on the hardwood. Pretty sad. As for Doc, he is offically my favorite coach in the league, this guy is pure gold. Pierce and Allen, it has been a joy watching you enjoy the game for so many years. |

Lebron walks off - the media and other basketball fans act like he's disgraced the 'game' and every player to ever play.
rondo and kg walk off - the same exact thing should happen to them. thats my point. but of course we all know lebron is the villain and he deserves to be trashed but oh other players can slide.... |

I dunno why they walked off, they should be asked about it.
I never thought it was a big deal, it rubs some people the wrong way, others it doesnt matter. I dont get it, but its not a big deal. It wasnt when Lebron did it, he is the best player in the world, thats why its talked about |

Honestly the main reason it bugs me is because it's not about their lack of respect, it's being a sore loser. By the same logic of them not shaking hands because in actuality they dont respect them, then if the celts won they still wouldn't have shook their hands? I bet if the celtics won they would have shook hands (unless the heat players would have walked off). They were being sore losers...

KG is perhaps the most competitive player in the NBA. He's not the type of guy to hang around and congratulate the opposition. He's too proud.
Does that make him a bad person? On face value, maybe. But I think he's a good guy. He just lets his emotions get in the way of making the right decision. Also, Rondo and Garnett leaving the court may look bad, but I think we're missing the big story here: Pierce and Allen staying on the court to congratulate the Heat is the real story. That's truly outstanding sportsmanship right there. We shouldn't judge Rondo and Garnett by the actions of two of the classiest players in the league. I'm sure many other players would have done the same as Rondo and Garnett.
