Default Wilt vs Russell Debate-Mailday edition.
Well I moved everything in my collection I didnt "need." I went on a bit of a shopping spree with that money (and a little more). I got one of my 2 Holy Grails in the Wilt Epic (other being a Maravich Cut). Its a beautiful card. This is easily my favorite Russell. It is the only PSA 10 and there are no BGS 9.5s or 10s. (A big thank you to 15ncounting who went out of his way to track it down for me). Also picked up a lot more of the Chronology Canvas Autos and Legends. I love the way the Magic looks. Thanks for looking.

Glad to see the cards arrived safely.

I think you did the right thing selling many of your cards to fund these purchases; you won't find many cards more desirable than these. Obviously that Wilt in particular is an iconic card, and I agree that the Russell Legendary Signatures is one of his best looking autographed cards.

Good luck in your search for a Maravich cut auto. Hopefully you can get one for a fair price.

I'm still waiting for my Maravich to arrive in the post. It's taking longer than I hoped it would.

Tristan- Thanks man. I am def happy with it. Im halfway to having the number of Wilts you have lol

Will-Appreciate the legends and Magic Chronology. It sucks Russell's autos arent held higher within the hobby. I guess its because he signs so much. Im falling in love with the legends set.

I agree. Even though the blue autos pop out so much against the white background, its hard to find any without the bubbling.

The bubbling never really bothered me. It's not as bad as streaking.

In my experience, the Epic Signatures are not cut terribly well, e.g. some of them are a tiny bit 'thinner' or 'shorter' than others (I'm talking like half a millimetre here). As a result, they sometimes don't fit very snugly inside magnetic card holders (and, therefore, presumably PSA plastic cases).

I've no idea if the Wilt has been trimmed or not. It looks similar to all the Epic Signatures I've had though.

Your card is fine. Having graded a bunch of 1999 Legends, I will say occassionally PSA (red label) will send a card back for not meeting the minimum size requirements. When you hold up a bunch of these cards together, there is a slight varibility in height. This seems to be a UD quality control issue as some of the guys who I sent in off of eBay sale were $5 - 10 cards which no seller would trim.

There was a thread on this same subject on the PSA boards awhile back which I will try to find.

So if you WIlt came up a bit short, PSA (Red Label) could not grade it for not meeting their minimum height standards, but PSA/DNA (Blus Label) will grade the card since they are only worried about the autograph and not the grade of the card. A short card may have very well came from the factory that way with this particular issue so don't sweat it unless it is a totally obvious trim job (which I don't see above).
