Default Exquisite RPA- would you rather have a RAW copy or BGS 8.5/10?

Having a tough time deciding...what would you guys pick?
Any player... 3 color RPA... Exquisite 8.5/10 or RAW?

thanks

Raw. Grading is a joke and lost all credibility as proven over and over.

If you're buying a very high end card then I would always trust it to be in a graded holder. I trust the holders more than I trust most sellers these days... At least you know the card won't get damaged during transit because the seller didn't know how to pack it.

Although I believe grading is a waste of time these days.

Pretty simple decision to me.... if you're buying for a relatively quick flip (60 days or less) get the raw copy. If it's a PC card or one you'll hold for awhile, the 8.5 is fine.

that must mean you buy jordan rcs raw also right? its hypocrisy to talk crap about grading companies, but still acknowledging their necessity in a market/hobby where the most iconic card is pretty much required to be slabbed in order to have any value what so ever.

I prefer the graded.

Thick cards are condition sensitive to begin with. The more they float around the hobby and change holders the worse they get. With the graded card you know what you are getting.

Opinions have value. The value varies depending on who provides the opinion.

If you have $50K to spend on a painting would you prefer I advise you or an art historian/appraiser?

I prefer graded and I know some may argue 8.5 will bring down the value.

Raw.

I dislike graded cards (unless they are vintage).

If its .5 away from being a 9, I'd take a chance on the graded card and resubmit it looking for a bump .

my exquisite is a 9.0 so i would take that over a raw,

take into consideration that exquisite are hard cards to grade

Raw is way better, you really need a stupid plaque to tell you your card isn't pristine perfect? I bust cards out of 8.5's. Just my opinion. When I think of a really sick card, it isn't in a graded case

Raw for sure! I try my best to stay away from those bulky, ugly cases.

for me, it's 9.5 and above or raw unless you really want that protection from the grading case.

8.5 is actually a solid grade for Exquisites. Most 8.5 Exquisites have a bit of wear on the edges or corners and if that is the case it is pretty much on par with the majority. I think it depends on how the raw looks...if there are any major flaws like a badly dinged corner, then it may not even get an 8.5.

I would rather buy an 8.5 than raw knowing it is well protected for shipping and 8.5 is a good condition Exquisite. I get most of my Exquisites graded just to protect them.
