Don't put their hands over their heart during the Star Spangled banner? Just wondering on your thoughts....

I know that it happens in more than just NBA.

It bothers me when any scumbag doesn't do it's even worse when they talk during the National Anthem I pray that a bolt of lightning strikes them in the face

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest!

In Aus, our anthem is stupid and meaningless to most people and is used in the most inappropriate times, so people lose track of the intent of it.

Pretty sure that if you are ok with asking for lightning to hit someone in the face then you aren't exactly following the commandments, therefore God would choose to ignore your prayers!

Yeah, good question. I know I have seen him do it, but can't say I really take that much notice?? Maybe sometimes he did and sometime he didn't

i dont mind the hand over the heart thing, i do get a little bothered at games when during the national anthem people (fans) dont take their hats off or are talking or what not...i mean its definitely just my opinion, but i feel like people should take a moment to pay some respect to the many hundreds of thousands (probably millions) of people who have given their lives to give all of us the opportunity to do things like go to NBA games, or have the freedom to do things we want to do in general. again, just my opinion, and i can understand having problems with some of the things our government does, but for me its all about paying respect to those who have given their lives for us...i mean the players are usually respectful, no hand on the heart doesn't bother me, like i said its the fans that usually irk me in this situation...just my 2 cents

It does bother me that they don't, as well as hats. Then again, most players do great things off the court to make up for being great Americans. I think that they just get pumped up when they hear it, chills up the spine maybe, and start tapping their feet, swaying arms..etc

Like another mentioned above. The lack of "hand over heart" doesn't bother me, but not removing a hat or talking during it (singing along is OK) does.

I dont do it when I am at games some times, I always take my hat off tho. That pisses me off when people dont do that.

The fact that the PA announcers have to tell men to remove thier caps irks the living hell out of me.
