Default Roy to leave Portland?

In regards to the chances of signing a contract extension with the Portland Trailblazers, Brandon Roy told a Seattle radio station that "for (him), it's about 50/50."

Roy also said that he would like to take a part in the Blazers' recruitment efforts, adding "It's kinda hard for me to go out and recruit Hedo Turkoglu for five years when I only got one left on my deal." The Blazers probably could have used Roy's help in that endeavor, and his relationship with Kevin Pritchard definitely sounds strained. With LaMarcus Aldridge basically in the same boat, all is not well in Portland. However, it's still hard to imagine them not getting something worked out. Jul. 10 - 7:03 pm et

Well, IMO, the Blazers would be dumb as heck to not sign him up for a long term deal.

Yeah its crazy right now I dont understand how we can offer Hedo 5 years at 50mill, and Roy wants 5 years and the Blazers want to give him 4 years I have been pissed all day. I did not even want Hedo, we dont/diddnt need him we need a back to the basket player.(like Paul Milsap) If we let Roy go........... I WILL BE FCKING PISSED!!

I really think we will sign Roy & Aldrige to max Contracts though

If the Jazz lose Millsap I think the Boozer trade is highly unlikely...they need one or the other but cannot afford to lose both...

His comment about recruitment seems a little bit odd. Ray Allen has one year left, has been in several trade rumors recently, and still had no issue with helping the Celtics try and acquire Wallace. Sounds like the young man has a little growing to do perhaps.

I think Ray also knows he's at the end of his career, while Roy is coming into his prime years
