a bgs 9 with no protective cover sold for 175:
1998-99 FINEST NO PROTECTORS REFRACTORS #81 MICHAEL JORDAN | eBay non-graded with cover sold for 67, 61 and 45. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-99-Topp...item1c2782eac2 98-99 Michael Jordan Topps Finest Base Refractor w/Peels #81 | eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-1999-99...item1c274c0da3 Yours is a PSA 9 without cover. So 60-80 is my guess. |

No that was a legit question. He said a BGS 9 sold for $175 so why would their be a $95 difference between that and my PSA 9. I think it's a fair question to ask.

From what I gather, a PSA 10 = BGS 9. So, with that said, your PSA 9 would equal a BGS 8. A BGS 8 = you basically paid for Beckett to encapsulate your card, and could have gone without having them put a grade on it.

The auction for $175 is the no protector refractor.
There were 4 versions of each card. Base Refractor No Protector No protector Refractor. The No Protector refractor is by far the hardest one to get odds wise so that's why it sold for $175. The regular refractor is about a $50-$60 card. With a PSA 9 I would say it's about the same. No premium. The way you can tell it's the no protector version is by the back. The No protector has a very glossy back side which is hard to miss. Also, I do a lot of BGS grading and they let a lot slide. I would say BGS 9.5 = PSA 9. I would much rather have a PSA 10 over a BGS 9.5 unless the BGS copy is a much lower pop. |

LOL You clearly got to lay off on the pipe bro PSA 10 is most likely a BGS 9 or 9.5 at MAX, not to mention the card isnt protected when its in a PSA case.
