Default Maybe sound stupid...but Is John Wall a keeper or not when it comes to value?

Hi,

I've been thinking of starting to collect John Wall but I'm a little cautious if the kid could go far...I remember starting to collect tyreke evans after his rookie year but decided not to and I believe he has not met the expectations of him so far...

So would like to know our opinion if John Wall is worth the risk..thanks

I say it's worth the risk, right now. Although he isn't amazing at this point he still has room to progress especially if the Wizards continue to build the team in a positive manner. The Wizards are still a young team so don't expect them to be contenders right away, maybe in a few years.

The reason for my logic is most of Wall's cards are still under the $100 range and many rookie auto's of his are actually sitting around $50. I would expect the value to rise in the future so I think it is definitely worth the risk.

Why not just collect who you like instead of who you hope will excel in the future?

if you think he's going to be good, now is definitely the time to buy his stuff...its one of the tricky ones, he could be really good and it could be a great investment...

I actually have a collection of Kobe and Lebron autos already....just want to test market for a new one...Im thinking of buying an rc card patch/auto of John wall /15...

Price is a little heavy but it is also graded BGS 9.5. Pop 2. I kinda want to buy it but would just like to be sure

So far, I think John Wall is a mature kind a guy...Like what I mean is, being Javale Mcgee's teammate and still you didn't budge to his antics....kinda mature for me... still need to improve a lot on his game and so far I dont see him being injury prone.....

and I cracked so hard when a post about "following your heart" thing... so I guess I'll go through with it and hope for the best

Thanks guys

In the future though, somehow I dont see him staying in Washington...When his time to be a Free agent comes, with the ongoing trend, most likely he will leave the wizards... just my 2 cents...

I honestly don't think he's going to pan out the way most people thought he would. Definitely not a bust, but a top 5 PG? Not gonna happen unless he seriously works on his game. He has the tools - athleticism, speed, decent size, but from the 0 progression I've seen from 2 seasons and the happy go lucky attitude he seems to carry, he ain't goin nowhere!

I would invest in another player.

I agree with you as well about this. I too think he has alot of upside and is a great player.

even if he does become a top 5 pg........ his cards are just going to drop..... look at deron williams...... there is zero upside to john wall unless he goes to miami, knicks, lakers or something, then maybe your talking about just getting the moneyback you overpaid on because he was a new exciting rookie/1st year player. derrick rose is really popular because he's a bulls player, wall would really have to be the #1 top point gaurd on a top team to make you any money his cards are already high.
