I agree, but Meeks isn't old and doesn't have a broken down body.

Lakers fans crack me up starting threads for dreck like Jodie Meeks. I have seen about every game this guy played in the pros. He is just not consistent, hence the reason the Sixers let him move on when they really needed outside shooting. When this guy goes cold it is not just a game or two, it can be weeks at a time.

Nash has been making guys like this look like allstars his whole career.

right? people act like lakers are counting on this guy to help win games and be a lynchpin player. lakers just need this guy to be a adequate sub, knock down open jumpers, and play 15 minutes a game so kobe can rest. lmao. meeks is a good signing period. he can knock down a jump shot consistently and allow kobe to not play 40 minutes a game, something the lakers had no ability to provide last season. mission accomplished.

12 minutes playing for LA is better than playing more in Philly. Why would playing for a championship caliber team be a bad choice haha.

What is your basis for making the above statement. I have seen almost everyone of Meeks games throughout his career and can tell you he is anything but consistent. It is the reason Collins sent him to the bench down the stretch last year.

Yeah I still dont understand why wearing Gold/Yellow will make him shoot more consistently than his career average behind the arc. I am sure he is gonna help the Lakers, but just because hes one a super team doesnt change the fact he shoots a certain % for his career, and for a reason.

jezzus ppl. i'm not claiming this guy is the savior of the lakers. fact is he's a legit back up for kobe to sit and take a breather for more than 5 minutes a game, and he's the best option for the price point he was willing to come at. lakers were not gonna spend more than a few million, and he is great value at that price. i'm not expecting this guy to start averaging 15 pts a game off the bench cause he's in a laker uni. i'm just happy there is a average nba player on the bench to back up kobe this year, so he doesn't have to play 40+ mins a game and burn himself out again. last year all we had was glock and kapono off the bench, we couldn't rely on our bench to protect a lead to save their lives last season. now we have meeks, ebanks, jamison, and hill off the bench. believe me, if you're a laker fan you're beyond ecstatic at the bench pieces we have right now.

Lakers really wanted Delonte West as their combo guard... I guess Meeks is a nice consolation prize.

Jamison is a little washed up. It's same thing as heat signing lewis.
