Yup, we might be going street basketball for Rio in 2016......I think this would be kinda cool.

idk if it says in that article or not but i heard it would be an amateur competition with no NBA players allowed...

Well, actually I think it would be cool to allow amateurs compete in the 3 vs. 3 tournament.

Those guys from "And1" are absolutely crazy and it would be awesome if they could compete.


But if we're choosing NBA players then it should be guys that always play together.

The Heat Big 3.....The Thunder big 3......the Lakers big 3, etc.

3-on-3 is definitely possible....and it will be awesome!

I'm assuming it would be street basketball rules first to score 21 points, 1 point for regular shots 2 pts beyond the arc, no substitutions, and you can't shoot free throws.

This would seriously be fun to watch!

If it's amateurs then yes.....although I think there are already amateur championship 3 -on-3 teams in America.



BTW.....talking about 3-on-3, why doesn't the NBA do this for the all star break?

Seriously, get rid of the terrible dunk contest and have a 3-on-3 little tournament with street rules.

Three-on-three holds no interest for me, but to each their own.

Even though it's not my thing, it sure sounds more appealing than trampoline, syncrhonized swimming, shooting or table tennis. And if they used pros, I can't see any country matching some of the trios the Americans could put out there.

They compete when refs don't call palming or traveling or basically any other whistle-able offense. Heck, might as well throw the globe trotters in there too so they can do a 'best crossover while taking 5 steps' medal competition.

I played at Bethany University my freshman year, but then they shut down.

Now I am playing at Monterey Peninsula College, a jc on the west coast. After this year I will be transferring to a 4 year school hopefully somewhere in the south.
