+1, especially now that ebay is going to penalize you for ending an auction early

ok Im showing my naive side now but why would you shill this particular auction. Aren't you going to get an huge price by running a legit auction. Why screw with it?

I doubt the backdoor. More likely the store got it early and tried to help out a good customer thinking no one would know. The guy freaked out when he pulled the card and couldn't wait. I feel bad for the store.

1. If the seller is shilling his own auction, then it is greed.
2. Others with invested interest in old PMGs want to see these cards pop so that their cards will be even more valuable.
3. People who are invested in the current breaks or own cases that they are thinking about flipping (for the sake of disclosure, I include myself in this list) want to see this card go for a crazy price.

totally...although i hate when people end auctions early just about more than anything! truly a pet peeve! i NEVER bid before the end of the auction, and when people pull auctions im watching and waiting on before the end and they end up selling for LESS than i would have offered its both mine and the sellers loss! you would think sellers would be smarter than to sell cards before they end because someone offers them a price to end it early. THINK about it!! why would someone offer you something to end the auction early if they didnt think the card would go for more than that if you let it ride??? gahhh i hate when that happens, especially on cards i really want!

so im glad they are starting to penalize for that! whats the penalty?

I did the same. Asked if i could have something equally as nice (made sure to use a lot of 'please' and 'thank yous') and they said the Jordan PMG blue 23/50 is on its way. Can't wait to post my mail day.

do u have any idea how many of these are going to start hitting ebay all at once...mark my words there will be like 20+ lebron reds listed at the same time and a bunch of the other colors...this one is an anomaly because it is the only one on ebay. once the product is live, ebay will be jam packed of retro jambalyas, PMGS, Legacy collection, etc etc...of MJ, Lebron and the 20 other players in the set(s)

In normal auctions, the seller can withdraw the item until the final gavel, so in that respect, it's kind of only fair to let people withdraw their bids up until that point as well. But anyways, if eBay didn't let people retract their bids, there would be even more NPBs. I'm not saying I agree with bid retractions, just explaining why I think eBay gives you the option.

Could you imagine how hassle free eBay would be if you A) couldn't retract your bid, B) couldn't remove a listing once it's up, C) were required to have at least the amount of money in your PayPal account equaling your outstanding bids, D) that money was frozen in the amount of your max bid each time you place a bid on an item, and E) the frozen money was instantly transferred upon winning an item? Obviously that would result in a much smaller pool of buyers with less money to spend, so not good for eBay or sellers looking to cash in; but, there would be such a reduction in headaches.

This is true, although I wonder how many cases of this will be broken. The price point has gotten so ridiculously high now, I am very interested to see if folks are going to break their cases or hold on to them.

That being said, I still think that the greens and blues will retain their value to some degree.
