Default Jordan 1/1 on eBay? The man says so...

I don't do a lot of basketball, but after looking in the break section, I see a Jordan 1/1 pulled from the Fleer Retro.

I searched auctions on eBay to see what they're going for and find this...

It's not a 1/1, it's just one of the SP'd sticker Autographics. There are a handful of different versions, probably SP/23 each?

The 1/1 versions are signed on-card and are buybacks of old insert sets. There are only 23 different versions, one card existing of each.

It is Free Flow's card he posted it yesterday. This is actually the third time this card has been posted on the forums. I hate to say it but people keep posting breaks in this section to create buzz/publicity for the cards they are selling on eBay. Not sure if that is the situation here, but people that never post in the basketball thread have becoming coming out of thee woodwork trying to capitalize on Retro.

I've noticed a lot of Retro haters are now ex-haters and currently Retro-promoters

Hey when it lines your pockets with money why not, lol! Same is true when National Treasures are released and all of the Panini haters jump on board to capitalize.

I've seen people try to sell cards they don't even have in hand yet, but "No serial number on the card but the man holding it says it could be a 1/1"... really? Maybe he's using that listing as a placeholder until he gets it, but how could you even tell what the card is from that picture (I know you can make out the auto but no one in their right mind would buy any card going off of that picture)?

I am pretty sure there are morons out there that will buy it. Plus the seller will just play stupid and argue they didn't know better. This is why basketball has such a bad name compared to baseball or football card collectors.
