Paul, it must have been very difficult knowing whether to accept the offer or not. I bet there are hundreds of Jordan collectors out there who would have the money to buy this card, but you probably didn't want to wait too long in case the hype died down. Selling sooner rather than later was presumably the right thing to do.

I just imagined being in your shoes. For the sake of argument, lets say you were offered $10,000 for this card. Obviously that's a great offer and (for the sake of argument) you'd be happy with that. However, the next guy might offer you $11,000. Now, 10% extra doesn't sound like much, but for a card as valuable as this, that's a huge $1,000 difference!

I'm waffling here, but my point is that it must have been very difficult knowing whether to pull the trigger on the deal!

IMO you can't go too wrong though. I'm sure you got a GREAT deal!

I'm curious to hear what you'll do with the money though.

8 people come to mind who would've paid 10-20- so I congratulate you on the sale. If you didn't get $20- send me a pm next time so I can help you broker the deal

Try to negotiate 1% as the middle man... even such a small cut would still pocket you about $200

Sometimes I just can't believe how much people are willing to pay for 1 card. But on the other hand, if they are rich enough to afford it...

Congrats on the sale, I'm sure you got a great price!

Hope he didn't panic with all the "sell now" posts and took a lowball offer...

Congrats on the sale and it is a great looking card.

However, my questions is where are all the Jordan Haters?? Before Retro came out, all high end sales are fake and shilled. All Jordan Collectors are stupid and those card should worth 1/100 of the eBay value. Now where are those people?

I think Upper Deck should have made a 1/1 PMG variation... gold or platinum or something... imagine what the Jordan 1/1 PMG would have sold for

Maybe they should have made PMG /5, too.

I don't think that Jordan collectors are stupid, and I would never judge anybody for valuing these high end cards differently than I do. But yes, I still think many of the high end Jordan sales were shilled. The purpose of the shilling was to change the perception of what a "reasonable" price would be for a high end jordan insert. Because of the prior five figure shilled jordan insert sales, 2000 for a red jordan PMG may not seem so crazy for some folks.

I am not sure what the green jordan PMG ended up going for, and the person who cracked it (Paul06901) and sold it has (to my knowledge) never pimped high end jordan insert cards previously. But there is no doubt that Paul06901 benefited from the previous shilling, even though he had nothing to do with it. Heck, I will benefit from the shilling, because the cases that I am sitting on will now give me a 200% return on investment.

I agree. I think they should have done something like what they did with the originals and make 1-10 green, 11-60 blue, 61-150 red. and make the one numbered 23/150 a special 1/1 color maybe black or gold or something.

This would've been really cool!

I do agree, though, there should've been a 1/1 parallel. Would've fetched a fair bit!

Paul has nothing to do with shilling. However, reading previous posts, people have nothing to do with shilling still got bashed and attached by those who think these cards should worth nothing. Since they are non auto and not game worn. Now everyone just cheers and congrats. Nothing wrong with it, just something to think about.

This card literally showed up in my dreams last night and in it you had sold it for $400k. Lol I've been reading way too much about this product over the past few days. Congrats on the pull and sale!

Hopefully it was cash money and uncle sam can buzz off! I know I would not be reporting the sale of a basketball card sold off ebay. He gets enough money from me as it i!
