what to buy? Threads or Certified?
 

Panini is really trying to shove 3 new products down our throats.
Ive already counted out Prizm. If you had to choose from Theads
or Certified, which would you go for?

Why do you need to make your decision now? Can you wait and watch a few of the early breaks to make up your mind? Or do you need to order in advance?

Threads will have a few nice ON Card autos, like the jersey die cuts and on wood autos, Certified will have nice low numbered parallels, but with the Fleer PMG's going around, I doubt Certified will see the 'Next PMG' phase again!

if anyone does bust certified and pulls melo, sell them to meeeeee. haha.. i'm already saving up so i can complete the parallel

Threads will Have oncard signatures plus Rookie cards will be on wood.
Prizm will be like topps chrome so rokie cards will be sought out too...
Totally certified will be awesome....

either one you are going to have to wait another 2-3 weeks since Panini just delayed all their products.

do you make your money back with panini breaks? i have honestly never seen that. not to put them down as i like some panini stuff, but every single panini break i've seen has been a $ loser

Totally Certified, is my first choice!!! I'm only buying 4 products this year, UD Exquisite (if released), Panini National Treasures, Panini Totally Certified and Panini Preferred (if released). I'm not buying any Limited or Absolute this year, unless all of the Rookies sign on card!

i have had better breaks with panini products then i ever did with ud or topps. and thats factoring in that most of the ud and topps was not brand new and was bought cheaper then when it was new. yeah i have losing boxes, but i also have winning boxes.

Maybe people enjoy opening boxes and not concerned about making money back????????????????????????/

Actually most case breakers make their money back on Panini products. Talk to Alex, he usually makes $500-$1000 on the four to five cases he breaks. Most people experience week breaks because of the odds of hitting an "A" tier player in Panini products. UD doesn't have near the amount of rookies and other players signing for them.

Just buying singles I will never open a box of panini

I am going to do a late night tv commercial on how I make money opening panini products.I guess that makes sense why every panini product is selling below msrp

I can back this up. Alex has really taught me a lot and I just had my first actual multi-case break with prestige. Even with a bunch of "rookie" mistakes I still was able to turn a profit. If you were to buy at retail price however, you would be lucky to make your money back.

With that being said, higher end products like National Treasures is a crap shoot, even for case breakers. For case breakers, a good percentage of your return comes down to how well you can sell sets, parallels, etc. With high-end products you don't get the base cards to sell sets which is what makes it a gamble.

Actually Panini doesn't have MSRP. It's called MAPP pricing and that is only in effect for thirty days after release. The reason for MAPP pricing is to prevent dumping on eBay and other auction type websites. If you don't like Panini prices wait the 30 days, the prices will be more accurate after MAPP pricing ends and the consumer regulates the price based on popularity.

Hey were comparing 100.00-200.00 panini boxes to 14 boxes of Retro at 450.00.. And if you say maybe they didnt pay 450.00.. They could have for sure sold for that much, since profit is your main argument.

You asked are people able to make their money back with panini products.. Im stating 14 boxes at 450.00 seems like it would be harder to make your money back right?
