yeah i think it's overkill no need for a "booklet" that large! I also seen a different picture that contained a manufactured patch Penny Gold sig on card UD BLACK.It looked pretty cool but am not liking the fact so many auto's are being produced in such a short time of the players who once did not have many auto cards on the market Penny,Grant Hill etc.

Still not a college uni lover, but this actually looks decent. That booklet is definite overkill though lol.

I'm guessing that since this is listed as a 11-12 product, there won't be any of the new draft class rookies?

Manufactured patch!? Is there any real GU in this product that you know of? I think using fake patches will cheapen the Exquisite name, I think they should stick to the real deal or nothing at all... Yeah over production of autos always sucks, especially players who were once so rare. Although i'm hoping that one day one of the companies will make a Charles Barkley auto so I can finally afford one!

I agree with you guys haha, way too big. I could never get one of those, would go crazy trying to figure out what the heck to do with it.

Well since it's becoming more and more evident that a lot of officially released jersey cards are either fake from the get-go or barely worn (rookie stuff) I don't see what the big deal is if it's manufactured.

Sure it's not game-worn, but it's not supposed to be game-worn, it's simply a design element. For that Penny card they could have just printed that logo on the card, but it's a bit nicer with a patch their in my opinion, even if it is manufactured

Yes, those are UD Black cards randomly inserted into Exquisite. These are basically a mirror image of the 2011 Exquisite Football cards, all the way down to the shadowbox dimensions (cool looking cards in person, btw).

And the Exquisite football this year was ate up by collectors despite the college uniforms, so you can imagine how they'd do in basketball with the asian market exposure. I'm guessing another homerun for UD...and in all honesty, I wish it wasn't, so it'd force them to at least try to make a run at an NBA license. But with how they're doing right now, I don't think they see any need to...

Thats the thing, most collectors outside of the US dont have any affiliation with a University. Most international collectors will pick these up for the players themselves, not for any college afilliation.

Im sure the UD Football Exquisite did great being such a popular sport however I dont think that interest is as high outside of the US for college Bball.

The UD Black is not randomly inserted. It states on the promo that there will be at least one per box. Gold ink on those black cards look really good.
