DA had cup at 550 a tin! to start off, that's a damn joke.
You should only be upset at yourself for buying at inflated prices [which I think you mentioned].

I'd like a Ferrari, but I don't buy one. Too expensive even if I get a loan no problemo, or pay cash or whatever.

D+A can sell at whatever they like it's their inventory and their risk. They sold Retro at $1799 a case, I know because I bought one from them.

Call your LHS and give them some business, and they won't charge you 800+...

I have an offer to buy @ $2000 a case, and I was told that this is basically at cost plus fees. My plan is just to flip some of the sealed cases upon release. Do you guys see this moving up from the current $2500 pre-sale point, or coming back down to Earth once it releases?

Moving up. This will dry up so fast it won't be funny. I think people are forgetting that along with the Jordan per box each other box has a group A auto. The main deciding factor being will you sell internationally, if so you'll be fine.

If you guys think cases are going to go ganbusters like retro and boogy to like $5k a case, then why not just spend 2600/case and make the easy cash? I mean if you are so sure Exquisite will be on fire and $5k/case within days of release, do it. Buy up as much as you can and sell it for a nice profit. Do as that annoying commericial for some college always uses as a slogan... "Dont just stand there, do something about it"!!

You don't have a coherent point. You said, in B+W, that their online pricing was, 'a joke.' You don't think they should be allowed to sell their inventory at prices you don't like.

Sorry, but the world doesn't work that way.

No my point is quite coherent, you merely have an issue with reading comprehension. My point was in regards to the long term sustainability of reaming your customer base, which for some reason you can't pick up.

Ok, so I am a bit late in the game, but I am having a hard time finding a case of this.. for price lower then DA and Pitt.
What is going on?
Do you think the "distributor" are hoarding to these, (think Retro), and hoping they will jump in value...
This is not fair to customer (us)....

UD should release MAPP or MSRP or whatever publicly so the "Big guys" cannot manipulate the price for us customer .

At least Panini does that...

Any opinion?

My LCS called me today and said they are getting in some Exquisite 2011-12.

$600/box, should I jump on it?

Upper Deck is getting really out of hand with their prices. Didn't even seem possible considering where prices were already with boxes costing hundreds. But this and 2011 Exquisite Football are hitting a whole new level.

Probably reflects their struggles they probably are in so much need of money that they had to tack an extra few bucks on the price tags of their high-end stuff.

Your points are valid. What it comes down to is what people will pay, when was the last time that Panini had a product that sold for more then MAPP upon release? They don't because most collectors are tired of them and the horrible products. Because of this the demand of UD products is astronomical thus the pricing.

The best place to get this product is of course at your local hobby shop. The best online pricing I have found is Chicago Land Sports Cards. They have them for $2425 per case. I'm just glad I'm locked in for three cases plus several boxes through my local hobby shops.

so if everyone is selling case for $2500 +, the local LCS that already pre-sell these to some of members here at $575/box (around 18000/case) are Stupid/left lots of money on the table ?

Will this continue to happen with EVERY high end UD product?

first of all these small dealers are selling them for 550-650 a box and they are not guaranteed to even get a case from my understanding from talking to my guy (a big dog) that the small dealers will not get near as much as they think

So I take it since Internet dealers are preselling boxes for $800+, is it safe to assume a $600 price from my LCS is good?

I just don't know what MRSP is for this. $500/box?

Haha, just kidding. If you contacted the LCS and got the box before me, then it wasn't in the cards (no pun intended) for me. :-)

I live in Richmond. Where in SWVA are you? I travel down there quite a bit. Any good shops? I've been to one in Roanoke...

Yes. I heard from my people that MSRP is $599. I have a strong feeling this product will be $1000 per box upon release, so yes do it.
