MSRP is probably around $550. But products can be sold for more than that or MAAP pricing. All MAAP pricing does is provide a floor for what a seller can advertise a product at. MSRP is just a suggested retail price. Exquisite basketball almost always sells way above MSRP, so this shouldn't be a surprise.

i heard 599 as well and i agree that it will be no less than 900 a box upon arrival, question is will it actually come out on the 16th i highly doubt it

I actually think so. They are really touting the release date. I don't think they want another retro on their hands. They are currently packing out the product so I would say yes it will release on time, at worst it will get pushed back a week or two max but I doubt it.

Are you talking $470 from your distributor or is that your price/box straight from UD? A case should be $1290 from UD.

Wow??? So if I buy one for $2500 I am an idiot??
The middle men are making 1200 profit for a 1290 case?
This is making me really upset!

Wow if that number is true then it's the collectors thats paying for $800 a box thats getting screwed. I hope its all worth it for that price. The distributors are making money out of this. Blame it to the Retro effect. Goodluck to those who bought the product. I hope your buying for your PC and not for reselling.

So you're saying me getting a box at $600 is good? :-)

66% chance of getting my monies worth w/ a Jordan or LeBron.

Can someone give me an idea of valuation for these boxes? What I mean is looking at the secondary market, what would a middle of the road case break bring you? I know that is a question that we are all trying to answer, but assuming that you will get a base Jordan auto ($500+) and a second A list auto ($250+) you are left with 13 more autos. Having only a few photos from Upper Deck and a checklist from Retro, it looks like $1500 is about where this values out at if you don't hit anything big. Any help that you guys could give me would be great as I am considering breaking my first high end case and don't know if I should jump in now.

i may be wrong but i dont see any jordan auto selling for less than 800-1000 the first couple weeks, i think you can assume an easy 1500-1900 if you get the avegard stuff with potential to hit something big, my guy whos pretty big the UD told me its hard to get this stuff and there is not as much made as people think. I see box prices only going up at first and settling back around 750 after the first craze hits. But what do i know

Yeah, my guy is getting 1 case and 1 loose box. I'm taking the case, someone else can have the box.

Hi everyone,

I have been debating about locking in a case of Exquisite all weekend. I have decided not to do so, but I do have a line on an LCS that might be getting a case at a reasonable price. If anyone is interested please pm me and I will let you know where. Again I am not sure if the case is coming and if it is still available but I thought I would let everyone know.

Thanks,
Jon

This is making me really upset!

You are mad because a LCS is making $1200 on a product that cost them $1290? There is nothing wrong with trying to get the going rate for a product.

What do you think of people who bought SPA Derrick Rose RCs back in November 2010 for $250-$300 and were getting $900-$1500 in June 2011? Did you expect them to move them for $400 since they only had $300 into it?

On a 12 box case of a regular product that costs a dealer $900, dealers typically only make $250-$300 on the case and thats before credit card fees, cost of keeping the lights on, etc. So when they get an opportunity to make REAL profit on a product, they need to take advantage of it. I'm sure if you are a loyal customer that doesn't run to another dealer because they are $5 cheaper, that your LCS will give you a good price on a hot product. But unfortunately for a LCS, most people go wherever the price is cheaper (I don't blame them, that's just what a LCS has to deal with). Loyal customers who would trade the $5 savings for a fun LCS experience will most likely see better pricing on hot products.

Why does UD try to help LCSs when they are the ones gouging prices from customers.

I have given up on purchasing from my LCS because of this.

How can they not have pricing yet they are one of the biggest dealers, yet some LCSs already presold them.
