Lottery is the bottom 10 teams, the Bulls are not there. They are still a playoff team if you go by this ranking. 7th seed actually.

They are ranked 15th. Two spots away from the lottery. Your definition of "not even close" appears to be radically off.

Wow really?

Count the Eastern conference teams ahead of them: The answer is 6

Guess where that leaves the Bulls, as the 7th best team in the East = NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE LOTTERY.

I am surprised that this is so hard to figure out, but I guess simple math and understanding leagues/standings is

I like seeing the Sixers this high, but believe they should be higher than Boston.

They pushed them to 7 and did nothing but upgrade their team better than any other this off season.

Boston is a year older and it was obvious that KG was out of gas at the end of last year's playoff run.

Boston upgraded a lot too, and was without Bradley during the Sixers series, where as the Sixers might have downgraded by losing AI (I dont think so, but people have said it) and its not like Bynum is the poster boy for health either.

I do think its gonna be Boston or Philly winning the division and the biggest threat to the Heat in the East, but with Collins still running the Sixers and Bynum who needs to be healthy I cant actually pick them over Boston yet.

7th is not even close to lottery? Sure it's not. Just a few games is all.

i mean...7th is pretty close, just separated by 1 team and most cases not many wins or losses...i.e. knicks were close to the lottery last year lol

not surprised to see them so low in this they are old and melo has never passed before!

Hah well I'll be the first Knicks 'fanboy' to tell you that the pacers might not be better than the celts or Knicks. When the Knicks finally played good ball down the stretch they manhandled Indiana on a home and home, which rarely hapens, because of Tyson. Hibbert can't be hibbert against Tyson. Pacers have a solid team tho and I don't hate em like I used to. Really like George as a player...

For the first time in a long time I'm expecting a great year for the Knicks.. My Magic on the other hand will suffer beatings from all of those teams lol. I think bringing back Felton was a great great move.

Also everyone is talking about the Celtics being old. They have a lot of young talent too, and KG has heart he will still make an impact. The pacers / sixers will do well but still have some growing to do.

agreed. felton was a huge signing. i dont think the celts are too old, but their best 2 players (arguably, rondo could be one) are old and if they expect to contend will play major minutes.

agreed. as good as the lakers sound on paper the thunder are the 'proven' and 'better' team as of right now.

to me they should be the 'favored' team out of the west.

That because I actually know and understand my teams. The raps suck in general but do much better against EC teams. They get destroyed by the teams out of the west for some reason. So it makes sense that I want them to make it to the ECF but dont expect them to win it. Because of that I choose the Lake show who are my favourite team to win it. Hey, atleast I havent got tunnel vision in trying to convey a message saying my team is a shoe in for the championship this year!!

I am pretty excited to see what the sixers can do this year. I am very skeptical about Andrew Bynum resigning with the team though.
