The retro one is TOO over-rated. Why would you pay over $10,000 for an exquisite retro jordan when you can buy an 03-04 limited logo jordan for less? You can buy other exquisite jordans numbered to 23 with an auto and multiple patches for $5000 or less, why in the world would you want to keep the retro jordan when you have the chance to get a huge pmg green that is worth triple what a exquisite retro Jordan should be worth?

Get the fleer retro green, sell it, then buy 3 more exq. retro jordans since they always pop up and are so easy to find.

The exquisite retro jordan is just all hype. You should trade it for a REAL investment piece - the fleer retro jordan PMG green/10.

Again, where can you find a Exquisite Retro Jordan... since you guys keep stating they're easy to pick up...?
I envy him for having the Jordan he currently does. I would NOT envy him for having a remake PMG.

One card is /10 and is /23, its pretty obvious the /10 is rarer. Its a brand new product which is why you see more now. But a few months from now they will be all dried up.

It all comes down to personal preference, in the long run the Green will be worth more.

There are more set collectors now for the retro set than there is for the exquisite set.

But as mentioned earlier, if you got to break up a set for the green, dont do it

Both are incredible cards, but I would take the Exquisite Retro Rookie any day of the week. Just an incredible card. Other than a MJ Auto Logoman I believe it's the best looking MJ card.

I think the Exquisite will be much more valuable than the Retro PMG down the road so I would not do the trade. If it was the original PMG then it is a different story..

I guess it really depends on how much Verona paid for his Jordan. If he paid a couple thousand, then he would have really low risk to do the deal.

I guess I've heard of offers in the five figures for the exq retro, including me, but isn't it all hype until a documented transaction actually goes through?

Definitely not worth it for a Retro green with a refractor line.

MJ Exquisite flashback /23 is probably one of top 3 exquisite inserts, together with 03-04 Emblems of Endorsements /15 and 03-04 Number Pieces /23.

Retro has been best selling product. Right after each exquisite release, not many cards, even AP 1/1, can break 1k. But in Retro there are 210 + 60 easily breaking 1k mark. MJ Retro green will be a card standing tall among cards issued in this decade. Although collectors theoretically have alternative in original greens, those 97-98 greens are almost impossible to get. So Retro green out of a hugely popular product can be regarded as a replacement in a serious MJ PC.

I think currently both are valued at 20k plus, if we are looking at Flashback with 3-color patch and auto with no skips and Retro green without lines and nice corners. I don't have too much confidence Retro green breaking 30k and retain that value; and I also think MJ exquisite top inserts are also peaking out. So their potential in mid-term future could be comparable.

Solely considering rarity, /10 will be much harder to obtain than /23, once cards settle into new collectors' hands. Throughout my 2.5 years of collecting, I only located five Jordan 97-98 PMG greens and had only one real chance to get one, but I have come across eight leads of 97-98 All-Stars Game Jersey Auto /23 and have four legit chances to get one. I expect similar relative difficulty in getting Retro green and Flashback /23 a few years from now.

Since the one you have is already in high quality and in a high quality set, no point in breaking up the set. It's best just wait an appropriate opportunity to pick up a green without line in next few showing up.

I personally would much prefer RPA flashback over Retro green, if both opportunities present themselves.

Exquisite Jordan memorabilia/autograph cards are a dime a dozen these days.... how about the future when they make another 10,000,000 of them? Jordan autos and jersey/patch cards are already watered down, and to me, Exquisite is just another patch/auto just like any other, no difference.

As for the Green/10............ exactly, there are only 10! If you wanna count the 97-98's, then there are a total of 20!

It's still 20 vs. 30,000,000 auto/gu combos out there.... pretty simply for me to pick.

Let's just saw for a second that UD made 10 each year for the next 10 years.... Which the WON'T. But let's just saw they will. Ok, so now you have 120 of them total, period end of story.

Now just take one Jordan Exquisite which was numbered to what, 75 or 100? And that's just ONE particular set, from ONE particular YEAR!!!! lol

Trust me, the Green is a better card for the serious collector. And no, they won't be making a Jordan Green year after year, I really doubt it. But even if they did, it still wouldn't be as watered down.

Don't worry what others think is the "cool" thing to collect, because they themselves were brain washed by others telling them that it was so cool to collect lol smh

Collect what YOU love, and you only. You will feel better about your collection at the end of the day. If you like the Green better then do it with no problems. Exquisite is not all that it's been hyped to be. Just another patch/auto card to me like any other. A rare card is a rare card. If a card is numbered to, 25 for example, then it's exactly that! No difference to the true collector.

Now............. if the card in question, the Green, has an ugly line through it, then I wouldn't do the trade at all. But, if you can live with that, then that's your thing, but i'm just saying that I could never have a card with a line like that.

Anyway, good luck whatever you deceide, but remember, go with your heart and passion for cards! Not what others heard was the cool thing to do......... SMH

Yeah, definitely keep the exquisite. Doesn't look like UD will produce any more NBA licensed stuff anymore so that MJ patch/auto is only going to increase in price. The original MJ green PMG would be the one to really go after, not a remake of it in a college jersey.

Good advise. But I don't think he has to rush.... these cards will do just fine. But yes, if I didn't like either card and could live with selling either one, I would definitely trade and then sell the Green, and buy things I really like.

But if he likes the Green and really wants it, that's all that counts. Nobody should stand there and say, well this card is better and you shouldn't do it. SMH..... haha
