One sweet Jordan hit!!

I have been out of collecting sports cards for about 13 years now and recently I got the itch to get back in it when I saw some of the sweet new stuff they are doing now. On my visit to a local store I bought a couple of packs of 06 SP Game Used and didn't hit anything. This left one pack in the box, and after I got in my vehicle to leave I realized I couldn't leave 1 pack so I went back in and bought it. Call it a gamble, but after buying it I will probably never leave just one pack

! Here is the card, let me know what you guys think- I can't seem to find anything out there on it or many other cards that look like it. After finding this forum I thought I would share it with you guys and see what you thought.

im guessing thats 06 not 96? i think you could be 3-5k range for sure with that one, with all the jordan collectors and it being /3 you should have no problem cashing in on this one...

Serious luck there. i think u mean 06/07 sp game used. It wasn't a good year for rookie and most hits were just 1color jersey, so very rare hit and being a jordan never the less.

Last year a friend of mine went into the LCS around here and finally talked himself into buying the last box of 03-04 SP Signature that had been sitting on the shelf since 2003. It was covered in dust it had been sitting there so long.

He busted it and pulled this...

It's crazy to think what is sitting in some of the older boxes..cases.

I'd put the 2-3k on the low end.

I personally wouldn't pay this much, but I can see it going 5-10k

Well, $45K for a 1/1 buyback just sounds silly. The estimates so far in this thread have been legitimate. Some even on the low side. Now if someone said the card is worth $10K+ then that would be a little bit crazy.

Thanks everyone for the comments, I really appreciate it. I never imagined hitting something like this, but the other packs contained nothing- most "exciting" card being a base jersey card of Tracy McGrady and I dont know if that qualifies as exciting. So I had to buy the last pack and to say I was thrilled would be a major understatement. Yes I meant 06 not 96 and I edited the post to show this don't know how I messed that up. I have tried to find another Jordan like it, obviously there is autos out there, but I can't seem to find another Jordan card number that low that isn't an autograph. Again thank you for the comments.

Spectacular hit on there. You came back to the hobby with a Big Bang. That MJ will go for major bucks and I'm with most people on here that it should hit in the 3-5K range.

Beautiful card. Only advice I can give you is don't give in to people PM'ing you low ball offers right now (I imagine there are a few - not talking about anyone in particular, just what I've found when someone new comes along with a big hit asking for advice/value). Take it to ebay if you want to sell it.
