Your title doesn't make much sense...but from what i can get from it im assuming you mean does BGS grade cards even if it has a fake patch. BGS just grades the card itself and not the patch. Everyone thinks its stupid which is true but BGS is a scam anyway...

BGS doesnt grade patches, and rightfully so. They already accuse pack pulled cards of being shaved, they probably would consider 1/2 of all patch cards fake also.

But the title should be "Do people even research before dropping 2k on a card?"

my friend sent the kobe shoes patch card to bgs and it was return ungraded and listed as questionable patch

BGS raw card reviewed an exquisite football card of my friend's once a 9, he sent it in, then the bgs graders refused to grade it because they said there may be evidence of tampering with the patch since it was a steelers logo.

It's a shame, cause I witnessed him pulling it out of a sealed case of exquisite, after we had just pack-warred a few cases.

They have completely lost my respect since then.
