Default Expected Price Point On Kyrie Rookie Auto's?

We are 2 weeks away from the checklists being announced for the P&P, Limited, and Gold Standard rookie auto's.

The only 3 sets that will have a TRUE Kyrie RC Auto.

Prestige Kyrie auto's have settled around $150-200, while the Hoops (which seems to be more of a SP has settled from $200-$250. I expect both those value to fall once the redeemed Irvings from the previous 3 sets hit the market.

I have 9 different letters, but am concerned none of them will be Kyrie and I am beginning to budget how much it will cost to obtain one.

It's my belief that initially there will be a frenzy and theyll sell at $350+, but after a few weeks (unless he starts the season incredibly hot), they will settle into the $250 range.

Would this be a fair assessment?

Thoughts?

Truly it all depends. Some collectors view these as his true rookie cards while others feel that they are just an XRC. Time will tell what cards will receive the most hobby love, at this point, I would think these cards (IMO) will hold the most value other than NT, Certified, or special 1/1s.

Other factors you need to consider are the print counts of the 11/12 versions. Numbers seem VERY high; however, redemptions don't always get redeemed so this may be a blessing. Like I said, only time will tell because collectors will be the ones that determine what is valuable.

Hopefully at least around $250. I have about 50 redemptions just waiting for the random lottery assignment!

I went a "LITTLE" overboard, I collected everyone from P&P, Limited, and Gold Standard. In all I think I spent $1,000 for all of them. I also have the 12/13 rookie class P&P complete set. I was bored with too much time over the summer...

Yeah but 2 of the Kyrie's and 2 Shumperts could pay for most of all of that I'm thinking.

It depends on the #/. If they are not numbered probably 300.00 early on then settle at 250.00.. I think if he has a year like last they might increase a little.

I was wrong. Frenzy started at $225, now they are selling from $102-$115. Seems like the bottom fell out very quickly.

I nabbed one for $135, which isn't bad, but waiting 2 days would have kept a little more in my pocket.

Once the cards are redeemed, I expect them to bounce back into the $150-$175 range.

Probably was Gold Standard, everything else is substantially lower. If it was either Limited or P&P you got lucky...

Quick drop in prices for these redemptions. Currently at $102-$115. Now selling lower than Hoops, Prestige and Threads. I thought they would sell higher but I guess I was wrong.

I'm SHOCKED at how cheap these are going... especially since they are on card autos. I hit it big in the lottery last week (1 Kyrie P&P, 2 Kyrie Limited and 1 Kyrie Gold Standard), and would have definitely been buying them at this price.

Seems like the Limited is the highest quantity out there? Followed by P&P and Gold Standard.

I have a feeling when these are released, they will go up. Unless Panini opened the flood gates, and is producing thousands of these. I'm still curious to see how they look too... I have a feeling that the Gold Standard is going to look amazing.

I feel the same way..that these will go up in value once they're released and people see how the cards look. ON CARD autos is a big thing, and Gold Standard has always been a higher end collectible along with NT, Contenders, and the Limited NEXT DAY autos.

yeah, I'm holding my Kyrie GS, D. Will P&P, and Jimmer P&P; once they come out I think they will go up - plus, if Kyrie has a good year, they will continue to rise.

How? The redemption cards are already inserted into the products. So they already know how many of each to make. It's not like they are going to make another 5,000 redemptions.

I meant if they opened the flood gates on the redemptions. There seems to be a ton of them out there. Alexadravich (I probably totally killed his name) did some case breaks on P&P and Limited, and did estimates on the print run. I thought he came up with like a thousand of each of these? Something like that... I didn't see him do one for GS, but if there are like a thousand of P&P and a thousand of Limited... that would be a lot out there!

I think not being numbered really affected the prices on these redemptions.

Limited is the easiest one to estimate. Those 2012-13 redemptions are numbered to 75 (per box odd). There are 20 players. So 1,500 cards total. They fall about 1 per case, sometimes you get none and sometimes you get multiples, so there are about 1,500 limited cases made. Those 2011-12 redmeptions has 35 players, and per panini, they are created in equal quantitiy. Each case of limited has 15 boxes x 1,500 cases = 22,500 boxes. Each box has a 2011-12 redemtpion. So 22,500 boxes / 35 players = 642.

So for limited, there should be around 600 - 700 autos for each 2011-12 draft picks.

It's because they are redemption. People don't know what they look like nd collectors rather just buy them once they are live which is why not as many buyer. I think once its live price should be around $150, but Kyrie needs to keep playing well and stay Walter cause cavs not going to be playoffs team this year

I thought the highest the 2012 Rookies would be numbered to is 75 and some would be much lower. That would alter your overall projections some...
