Damn, hope the extra $5 million is worth leaving Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook to play with Jeremy Lin instead.

The thunder must really think they see something in Lamb.

Default Hardin trade

Think about how good the Thunder is at drafting? They got two first rounders in 2013 and players. Its tough to swallow now, but I believe they will end up with some monsters. I thought Hardin wasnt playin good in Pre Season. I know its only pre season but, they must have good reasons.

Thunder are loading up long term. They obviously have Ibaka, KD, and westbrook long term. They just drafted Perry Jones III who IMO has top 5-8 upside in the draft. They got an expiring contract for this year who can score with almost anyone in the league. A 4 cheap 4 year contract with their SG of the future, and assuming the BCats are terrible again, essentially 3 first round picks!

They stay contenders in the west (the Lakers still can't guard Russell) and will be players at the deadline if they want to add someone...and will be able to add even more young talent in the draft

Man...OKC Was not *&^%ing around with Harden....

Of course there is more detail than just PPG but I think the Thunder still look good on paper:

K. Perkins (5.1 PPG)
S. Ibaka (9.1 PPG)
K. Durant (28.0 PPG)
K. Martin (17.1 PPG)
R. Westbrook (23.6 PPG)

N. Collison (4.5 PPG)
T. Sefolosha (4.8 PPG)
R. Jackson (3.1 PPG)
P. Jones III (DNP)
J. Lamb (DNP)

In addition to the Two 1st Round Picks to rebuild their currently thin bench....I believe Jones III and Lamb are Stub Potential so the bench wont be thin for long.

O. Asik (3.1 PPG)
P. Patterson (7.7 PPG)
C. Parsons (9.5 PPG)
J. Harden (16.8 PPG)
J. Lin (14.6 PPG)

Hopefully some of these Forwards step up but either way I don't believe this move made them better NOW...But within a season or two I think Harden can lead this young squad to the playoffs and it could potentially attract another Superstar to play along side him.

Win: OKC....Mostly because of the 2 First Round Picks and the potential of the Two Rookies already on their bench.

I think that the Thunder will do just fine with KMart even though I dont believe they should have made this trade....lol!

I guess they didn't consult with KD3 lol.

I'm glad OKC is realizing that they couldn't win with the team that went to the finals and has chosen to rebuild with Kevin Martin's expiring contract, a rookie, and future draft picks

I'm not sure I like James Harden after rejecting a 4yr 55.5 mil contract. I thought he definitely would to play alongside Durant and Westbrook. I guess he showed his true colors eh? Either way the Thunder made out huge on this deal.

I still show 2 pages (aka change your settings to 40 posts per thread it makes things a lot easier)

The Thunder will now have 3 first round picks in the next draft you can't complain about that at all!!!! Out of Harden, Westbrook, Durant, and Serge someone had to leave and I think they did a great job since he would have prob just walked over to either the Bulls or Heat in my eyes...

i think the trade had to be made and wasn't as bad for the Thunder as everyone is making it out to be. I like lamb. (the player). The food is pretty good as well, if cooked properly. lol

Agreed, but he chose to go to a team that is probably years away from contending.....to a team that was in the Finals and a strong contender to get back there this year.

He chose money over playing for a championship contender.

I don't know if I would've done the same, but as fans we see this and we scratch our heads wondering why.

On the same note he now gets 5 million more, and an opportunity to become the first option on a young team.

The Rockets were gonna be fighting Charlotte and Orlando for the #1 pick in the 2013 draft, this makes them slightly better than the other 2. I love James Harden, but now he is the #1 guy, can he handle it? Can he start and lead a team? These are HUGE questions he needs to answer, and all he has is rookies and his former Thunder fodder.

No brainer move for the Rockets, they had the kids/picks/cap space, now you have a building block

Durant must be pissed, his closest friends were Green and Harden and now see ya.

Also, Adrian Wojahowski is probably, not, he is the best NBA rumor/news guy out there.

If he says it, its happening.

I know that I do and now I will invest even more in Lamb! What a steal, the Thunder got great value for Harden!

The Thunders starting five for 2014-2015, could look like this:

PG-Westbrook SG-Lamb SF-Durant PF-Jones C-Ibaka (bulks up more)

screw Harden and Perkins, Martin will be gone soon too.

the rockets got HOSED......... harden was trash when it mattered last year. OKC definately got the better value, martin, lamb and picks? rockets overpaid for harden DEFINATELY.

Exactly the Thunder raked on this trade. They dump contracts, get talent, get picks in return. Martin is a better offensive player than Harden maybe not on defensive end though. It's a no brainer OKC killed this deal

Anyone who says Kmart is a chucker should read more as he had one of his worst seasons ever last year. It's a money year for him so expect top performance. He is a 18ppg, 44% fg, 38% 3p shooter in career

I think Sefolosha will still be starting SG because of his defense prowess.

Also as a fellow OKC fan, I'm indifferent about this trade.

Yeah... there's no way (other than health) that Lamb would be starting over Thabo...

Thunder did well. They replaced bench offense with bench offense and got 1st rounders too. They need a scoring big off the bench and would then be fairly complete.
