It makes sense when its first made so cant really say it makes sense until we find out they are busts in the future.

I think Morris Almond was averaging 25ppg in college and was a pretty good rebounder as well.

I don't know the reasoning behind the OP's card so I think that is a good example. There are two rookies and a vet so maybe they tried to find two players with the most similar game style to Vince?

I swear in 09-10 SP Game Used there was a Lebron James, Bobby Brown, and someone else triple Auto. Yes... Bobby Brown, the NBA Player. I can't find a picture of it though.
