Rondo's Streak of 10 assists or more in consecutive games is still alive...

I just want to remind everyone of that.

He went 24 straight games last year in the regular season of 10 or more assists. The streak was put on pause when the season ended and the playoffs began. His streak is for the regular season, not the regular season and the post season together. Like all other stats in the NBA, regular season streaks and stats are distinct from post season streaks and stats.

He had double figure assists tonight once again, so the streak is at 25 now.

Everyone forgot about his historic streak once the playoffs began, but hopefully this catches fire in the media again. It deserves recognition. :)

It's a regular season streak.

What is the record?

Or is he currently setting it?

did he get under 10 in playoffs though?

is there someone he is chasing?

not having ray anymore is going to take a couple asts away so it could get close some games.

RedSoxFan28 10-30-2012 11:13 PM

Wow Rondo is not a real or good PG, a real PG would have at least 15 Assists and 20 Points for 25 Consecutive games

thepinoymamba 10-30-2012 11:14 PM

Wow. Really. What's the most 10+ assists?

you could also say a real pg could get 13 asts without 3 or 4 hall of famers :p

or a pg could hit a jump shot haha

1eyed_jack 10-30-2012 11:17 PM

from what I gather the record is 29 by stockton

brandonlec 10-30-2012 11:20 PM

Rondo closed out the regular season with 24 consecutive games of 10+ assists. This is not only a Celtics franchise record, but is also the longest streak the NBA has seen since John Stockton logged a streak of 29 such games in 1992. Only Magic Johnson and Stockton have streaks longer than Rondo's, which is still considered active and will resume from here on out.
I'm not sure how many games Magic had.

murrke03 10-30-2012 11:21 PM

stockton had 40 straight including regular and playoffs. rondo got too 28 last playoffs then it was broken.

regular season alone it seems stockton had 27 two different times and then one of 29 straight.

murrke03 10-30-2012 11:22 PM

wait according to this stockton had 37 straight in the 89 season?

I never said 29 was the previous high. I just simply said Rondo's streak is the longest SINCE Stockton's 29 in 1992.
Stockton's 37 in 1989 could be the highest streak total.

What HOFer's? Pierce, Garnett and.... who's the 3rd and 4th? Terry?
What defines a PG as having a good jumper? Jumpers are his weakness and we've always known that.

armyatc22 10-31-2012 07:33 AM

Apparently it's not that big of a deal if you can't even find what the record is...smdh

Ohhh and btw nice performance in the loss

ray allen. he only played with him for how many years? add old shaq too :D

Shaun941 10-31-2012 07:59 AM

You can hate on Rondo all you want.. Keep in mind these two things..

He has 20 career triple doubles more than both Chris Paul and Deron Williams. And he also has a ring. Everyone said Lebron wasn't better than Kobe because he had no rings. Well the same thing applies here, Rondo is the best PG in the league. Period

jlzinck 10-31-2012 08:26 AM

And his streak of being a whiney punk bitch is at 286 games. That's more impressive

Best pg in the league? Lol

I was told by celtics and rondo fans that no one actually thinks silly things like this. Yikes.

blackbears86 10-31-2012 08:33 AM

He is a whiny little bitch---but I still love him. He an exciting player, and definately in the top 5 guards in the nba.

CP3 is the best without question, outside of that you can make reasonable arguments for a number of guys including Rondo.

You might think he's better because he scores more but that's not what makes a great PG.. John Stockton could have scored more but he got his team mates involved. Rondo is a better all around point guard than cp3 and cp3 is a better scorer.

No I think he is better because he is a more efficient and dynamic offensive player. He is also the only guy Ainge was willing to trade Rondo for. If Rondo takes what he did in the post season last year and continues the trend this season then things may change.

Shaun941 10-31-2012 11:09 AM

Cp3 has yet to run a dynamic offense. He's been apart of teams that are out in the first round or don't make the playoffs. When he is in the finals putting up numbers and winning games will talk. See James Harden.
