Default Anyone ever seen one of these MJ auto patches????
im lucky enough to have this in my PC...i know this is the only one ive ever seen and everyone ive shown it to never seen either so wanted to see if anyone here has seen one or even might own one of the 23

from the research ive done this is MJ's 1st upper deck patch auto

That is a beautiful card, I have the GU version MJ but I've never seen the auto/patch version. Drooling right now! Haha

Unless that is the same one that was on eBay a month or so ago, I have seen that one. It went for around $2k or just under.

Regarding your question, there have been a few sold within last two or three years, here are a couple of images:





By the way, there are another two cards from 2000-01 UD which could also be qualified as Jordan's first patch auto.

spinotron thanks for the pics...regarding the other 2 cards which cld qualify as his frist patch auto i know of one that is the game patch auto which is hand numbered /23 not sure which other one ur talkin about plz lmk

Yeah i've seen this card before.... very pretty card, congrats!

I remember when these came out and all the buzz around these cards, it was amazing. I think this was the brand that introduced collectors to high end product with patch/autos. So funny to see the evolution of cards Still great looking cards.

Those two versions evolved from 97-01 Game Jersey Auto /23 family, and has the right pedigree, and I suspect they are the first patch auto released. Also hand numberings are collectors' favorite. On the other hand, Ultimate AP has only one version, and also is in its inaugural release of a great high-end product. Both are attractive and epic to have.

oh ok didnt realize there was two versions...and regarding hand numbering being collectors favs im gonna have to disagree cuz i know i prefer machine stamped #ing over hand #ing

I doubt 98 products were released in 2003. 2000 UD Game Jersey Edition released one day earlier than 2000 Ultimate? Maybe it's the date when the checklist was uploaded.
