![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/stat...71945248636928 I do not understand this move at all. DeRozan is talented, but hes yet to really reach his potential and waiting until the end of the season to see how he developed before giving him the contract would have been the right move.

not entirely sure that $10 million per year is a discount. If DeRozan developed into what he can be this season, the Raptors could have matched any offer and gladly paid a max contract. If he doesn't they could have put that $10 million towards another Foreign player that continue to flounder for them.

I'm happy they got him signed. He's the type of player the Raps cannot afford to lose. The heart of the team. If he can live up to his potential like I think he can $10 million/year is a steal IMO.

The raps have lost out on a handful of guys because they chased stardom and easy street to a ring. Damon Stoudamire, Tracy Mcgrady, Vince Carter, Marcus Camby (not so much). Imagine if these guys actually committed to playing together?
Based on this im happy Derozan signed with the raps in hopes of taking this team far and making it "his" team if they succeed. NOthing like being the "player' that took the franchise to the promise land for the first time. |

Wait a minute... he's in the Silhouettes set right? Ok, in that case, he's the BEST and they should have given him $80MILLION for TWO years!!!

there are zero teams in the nba that would have even offered derozan $8 mil per year. furthermore, after overpaying for landry fields (another wing player who cant really shoot) and then drafting terrence ross, why even bother giving derozan an offer at all? toronto management is a joke cant believe guys SGs like eric gordon gets max and derozan gets 10 mil per year while OJ mayo (without a doubt an all around better player than derozan) makes considerably less on a shorter contract
