For basketball collections, what cards do you think started it all!!!
Im talking about the Holy Grail of nba autographs!
What and where it all started this basketball trend???

Is it the autographics of skybox?

It's gotta be the 1993-94 Hopps Magic/Bird dual AU

There were the 1992 Courtside autos, but I think that dual with Magic and Bird was the one people wanted for the most part, and put the autographed card on the map. Not sure if autographs in general, or just for basketball... I'm a basketball guy...

Those great cards but why are they not right side up on your website?

Your site could look so much better if I didn't have to turn my head 90 degrees to look at some of the cards.

Haha, nice to stretch neck a bit after reading on Internet for a while.

I want them to look neater in how cards are placed next to one another. I'll take your suggestion and try to scan the right direction together when I get around.

Not really sure what the question is but in terms of what really started the trend of pack inserted autos I'd have to go with Autographics and their extensive checklist. Still remember my first (Autographics that is lol).. As for Holy Grails, Late 90's Jordan Jersey Auto tops the list

Some have faded autos, not sure how many of the 13 have perfect autos.

Those 2 jordan autos have to be the nicest ones I have ever seen. The one on the floor takes the cake though...OMG!!!

As a kid, I loved autographics. I remember how bad I wanted a KG at the time.

However, this is the card that got me back into collecting after graduating college and getting a job. I had the whole rookie set from Ultimate at one point. I find it such a beautiful looking set, in my own opinion the best looking from 03-04 (even though I know Exquisite is the consensus)

That is a beautiful card you have right there. The Exquisite set is just a much nicer product than Ultimate with all cards included. I mean they made retro RC's of the 03-04 Exquisite set. I doubt they did that for 03-04 Ultimate Collection.

I've got to agree with you in regards to the nicer rookie. Love the looks of Exquisite but the Event Worn jerseys are a big turn off for me and take away from the overall card in my opinion. Can't go wrong with a clean aesthetically pleasing design. Awesome card btw!
