Why aren't the Hoops 2012-13 auto cards as popular as last spring's Hoops auto 2012? Your thoughts...

Some of the autos from 2011-12 Hoops were short printed. I can't recall if any of the autos from this year's hoops were short-printed.

There's some autos that are yet to be seen in the new Hoops.

Fewer releases last year maybe? I'm thinking we'll see more of this years Hoops broken when the price drops.

I didn't really care for last years hoops because there were no rookies except for Rubio and a couple of others. I actually like this years better. I don't know why everyone else prefers 11/12 hoops but hey to each his own.

I've yet to see one Marcus Thornton auto pop up on ebay from 2012-13 Hoops. I hope it doesn't cost me an arm & a leg when one does eventually pop up.

I think there was a good deal of product made and so when the price drops, you'll see more breaks and more SPed autos show up.

2011 Hoops price less than 40 bucks is a steal.
The possibility of getting those short print autos really outweighs the cost.
plus its the return of Hoops. Its the nostalgia effect of all collectors made it more popular.
Plus the lack out just made it even more desirable, especially for basketball die hard collectors!
For me its perfect or in person , TTM autos too.

This years Hoops autos have too much flaking on the borders. Many corners have dings/chipping. Tough for me to spend a lot of money if they are short printed. Last years autos SSP or SP came out in most cases NM-MT.
