not a huge fan of KD's face covering the patch window. that is probably worth 2-3K.

It's a sick card with a nasty patch but most of what it has going for it will surely be replicated in the future by Panini. I don't like the side borders too much and would prefer a foil style ala the gold standard's private signing set. KD doesn't have any huge auto patches like this so this is definitely very desirable currently but as time passes it probably wouldn't hold up value wise especially if you pay $5k plus for this. This is simply a case of high demand and limited supply which will surely be alleviated eventually as superior cards find their way to the market in time.

I wish I would have jumped on one of the 3 Durants that were available when this series was first released.

Unfortunately, I saved my money expecting, bigger and better patch/autos coming from Panini in future releases.

Don't get me wrong, any KD collector would be freaking lucky to own this card for their pc. Is this a 5k card though? I think this card originally sold on ebay before being graded for $3500 or around there.

The seller has some pretty impressive items... including the Rose Ultimate patch I used to own... selling for about 8 times the price I sold it for...

I love this card.

This is my problem. Panini finally makes a great looking, yet its so limited it commands such a high amount. Would be a lot nicer to number it to /25, or atleast number the plain jersey one to /99 and not /10

Personally I wonder if panini is attempting to condition its consumer base with its monopoly. It honestly feels like they are attempting to get collectors to expect poor design/quality/return out of most products, so when something realtively nice comes out, panini slaps a low print run on it and people jump on board and are all about it, even though it is merely of what should be expected quality.

This allows panini to produce chase cards at significantly less cost to itself while driving up profit margins.

Sorry if the post is hard to understand, brain is fried from work all day, but my basic point is, panini is conditioning us to crap, so the slightly less smelly crap now smells like roses.

Just to be clear, I've gotten a few very high end cards off this seller including my Avatar MJ Exquisite, a Rose LL and a Rose EE. Despite the fact that I've made some deals here, I know for a fact that many of the $0.99 straight up auctions (not BO/BIN) have been shilled/fake in order to generate interest in his cards. Just as an example, both Rose Ultimate patch autos he is selling were on $0.99 auctions a few months ago and ended for around $1300-1400 each (massive bidding activity at the end). Both cards were BO/BIN for months before this happened, and reappeared a couple of DAYS after the auctions as BO/BIN again. So to Hairy... That Rose probably goes for half of what he is asking.

Sorry for throwing the thread off but thought I'd just share my experience with this seller - definitely a mixed bag.
