Ever feel like puking after a horrible break? (Fleer Retro) What was your WORST?
 

Two boxes of Retro:

1 Red PMG - Danny Manning.

That's about it.

So, this may have been the most depressing box break I've experienced for the money I spent, and it has me wondering what was the WORST box break you can recall? And I still feel like puking.

has retro gone down much in price I hope for you. When did you buy boxes

Several times which is why I buy singles

Yea happen yesterday, bought a mini box of Fleer Retro and pulled these....

I stay cheap when it comes to breaking product, that way my loss is minimized and when I get something good it's REALLY good. The only bad break i've had in the past 5-6 years was a box of 10-11 Totally Certified for $100 when it first came out. Got a Mike Bibby auto and Greivis Vasquez auto/rc(which is actually decent right about now.)

i had a pretty bad best of basketball... still pains me to this day.

4 boxes of this year's football triple threads. best card i got was a $50 return value. OUCH...

These were about $450 each. I'd say they were overpriced, but I was feeling good, like I was due for a big hit. Uhh, NOPE.

My case of Five Star Baseball was pretty miserable last month, and now these boxes sucked. I think my luck has burned out or something. Maybe I'll let the kids and the girlfriend open anything I buy in the near future!!

Timeless Treasures, got about 10% value worth in cards for what I paid.

The hit from the case was a $100 Kobe, nothing even came close to that. To add salt to the wound, it was a Redemption

I did a case of Retro plus 2 loose boxes

The best for the 2 boxes was a MJ BMOC insert and a Rodman pmg, but in the case my bit one MJ or Lebron at all, not even inserts!

Best hit was a Dr J pmg blue!

In the same week, a case of Prestige that have me back about $400.

I never expect to get my money back, but really hoped for a nice PC Card or too, but didn't get anything PC at all! Lol

You know what they say about fools and their money being soon parted...you're better off taking your money to Vegas than trying to break boxes for profit....

well you magically got a box of exquisite for 360, would of just flipped it for instant profit.

I would love to buy a box of Retro. But lets face it, its the biggest gamble out there. Its a all or nothing type box. Not alot of inbetween.

Besides for 08-09 Bowman Chrome basketball when it first came out, and Topps Football jumbo products, basically any jumbo topps product, I usually feel like puking when finished. lol

Pretty much I just can't buy this stuff. I have the money too but I just won't do it. I get all excited to buy something and I back out everytime. Its just not worth it but it sure is fun.

This was back when exquisite was $360. I would've cried my eyes out if I got this while paying the current going rate.

On several occasions I tried some boxes and got pretty lucky, I also did a 3 box break of Retro a while back and it sucked, did got some good inserts but none were close to the box price.

I did manage to pull red gems of Jordan and Lebron and green gems of Laettner and Russell so taking all into consideration I did do fairly well :).

eh exquisite was never 360 at any point. I've busted multiple cases of every year going back to 05-06. You must be mistaken. I could see 460 for that year at some point if you knew someone well. That year had the terribly designed RC's that were all cut off and a weak class. But post 03-04 exquisite never sunk below retail.

No wonder that box was so bad, the flags were there.

Very cheap price = Resealed = Crap

every time i break anything over $150 i feel like puking. i fall for it repeatedly though. i think my worst might have been 2011 Tribute baseball, a year too late and ended up with maybe $30 in cards after. i'm much more careful about what boxes i buy lately.
