Default Go Illini! Whew!

We just beat a crappy team tonight at home. We made our free throws at the end. They kept it close by nailing 3's, but we just kept hitting free throws. Big Whew!

This is the kind of game we lost last year. Played like crap against a crappy team. But this time we squeaked it out. That's nice to see.

It seems like we keep playing to the level of our competition (with the glaring exception being USC who we rolled) just like last year. I wish we would start blowing teams out more but at the end of the year I know I'll just remember we started 9-0, not how we did it.

Glad to see them pull it off. Last year we definitely would have lost this type of game.

Bring on Gonzaga

I meant, don't be surprised if your team gets beat by 15-20 points.

It shouldn't, Gonzaga is better than Illinois.

I needed to break up the homerism in this thread.

Both teams are undefeated, illinois is ranked 3 spots lower than to zaga. Therefore a 15 point game either way would surprise me. I'm expecting a 5-7 point game

That's fine, I'm just saying Gonzaga is better, Illinois is surprising me so far. Shows the depth of the Big Ten

probably not. As for the Gonzaga game, I think as long as they don't lose by too much they can feel good about the game. Obviously if Illinois somehow manages to win that would be huge.
