It really doesn't look that bad honestly. I can hear it now, "here come the Pelicans flying down the court." Maybe they will impliment the "flying V" in basketball. =)

They should have went back to the buccaneers, but with a updated logo?

I'm just not feeling the Cavaliers color scheme... Or the name. But I have no say in the matter so it is what it is.

I suppose I'm going to have a decision to make if they rename the Bobcats the Hornets. I know I'll be a Pelicans fan but do I switch to collecting the Pelicans or do I stick with the Hornets? I must admit it would be fun to have a whole new crop of players autos to chase after.
I guess I'll just have to collect both teams & figure out a way to separate them

If Charlotte can get back the Hornets, why can't NO get back the Jazz? Utah can be the Pelicans!

Really dumb move in my opinion. I think it will be tough on their material sales such as shirts and jerseys?? Maybe not, time will tell. I do think that the opposing teams fans will be shouting peli"can'ts" a lot though.

It's all about money$$$ Benson owns the rights to the name "New Orleans Pelicans" but he doesn't own the rights to "Hornets". Whenever things don't make sense follow the money.

Pelicans? Pelicans? Really? Come on New Orleans. Hahahahaha......

What's next? The Grizzlies change their name to become the Memphis Melonheads.

I was critical of the name at first, but the new logo does it justice. AMAZING job

I wish it was more colorful to make sicker patches. I found brighter colors like green, blue makes better patches .

The court looks better than the logo with the red in the background.

Great examples, haha.

Charlote Bobcats sounded high school/college-ish but we've gotten used to that.

They must be in the process of buying out the website "Pelicans.com" as it's something different now

I like the New Orleans Brass. Nice logo, weird name. Read somewhere it was the name of a minor league baseball team there a long time ago.

The Brass were the minor league hockey team that New Orleans had for a few years, The Voodoo was the arena football team, and the Pelicans were a minor league baseball team.
