Yea I know. The distributors are just holding a lot to resell for higher later. The good thing for long time holding is the potential for some of the rc to have a break out year and would increase the value.
But with kyrie Irving autos being redemption, it may decrease the value greatly once it expires few years down the line.

Someone said that even though it expired. Panini could still accept them...not sure. But its on a thread in football on panini redemption.

Lets be honest here... The base content of this stuff is brutal. The gold are selling FAR higher than any of us could have imagined. Basketball buyers make very little sense. Look at Totally Greens last year. This year nobody cares and last years have dropped. I still cant figure out why golds /10 are bringing such serious coin. I can openly and honestly admit I am shocked how high the /10's are selling. Happy?

Very true. Distributors are still able to get it in from Panini as of this day. Once the factory sells out then we may have a rise. Will the gold craze last that long?

The MVP's do look pretty amazing in hand. I haven't seen any of the USA ones in person yet, but from the scans they look pretty sweet too. Which do you all think will be selling the most down the road though? Base gold, MVP's, or USA?

I think the base will be the most down the road, but the other two do look great as well. Finalists and DB kind of suck.

Can anyone answer my question as to why there is such a HUGE difference between Shaq and Kobe sell prices? Shap MVP got $120, Kobe got $1500!

"The Basketball Card Market" has to be one of the most confusing ones out there, I can't seem to understand most of the prices paid for these cards even with autos and patches sometimes. Either way Prizm looks like a nice product.

As long as Ebay runs their site the way they do, cards like these will be manipulated.

I've sold alot of these 'hot' cards and this is what happens alot of the time.

1. Auction is won by someone who never had any intentions to pay from the beginning. After a month, the bidder is finally kicked off ebay but by that time already has 3-4 more IDs ready to start bidding again and not paying.

2. Bidder wins the card and is willing to pay, but they only pay after they see the same card sell for a higher amount. Take for example, the Kobe or Lillard that ended for over $1000 recently. If the buyer sees another go for much higher, he pays instantly. If the buyer sees them sell lower, you don't get paid.

Then there's always the false chargebacks/buyers remorse crap after the cards cool off and people realize they overpaid. Card mysteriously isn't as described 2 months after being sold.

The solution to all of this is for Ebay to force buyers to pay instantly on items like this. Either that, or take away their bidding privileges until auctions from the previous day have been paid for.

next thing that is being manipulated. too bad but most of the people participating in all of this are the investment drop outs that cant make it investing in real securities.

Hope it works out for some people that can ride the train the right way.

i have no idea if it's true but brentandbecca recently posted that an ebay rep told him all buy it now type sales will go to immediate payment required some time next year.

I bought my Enes Katner Gold #/10 for $57.00, I'll take that card over the Drummond for $600.00-$800.00 anyday and I love Drummond as a prospect.

Wow they keep going up. Not sure what to think of all of this. BS buyers just hitting the BIN, crazy hype for the product and the golds will continue to rise, or once the buzz dies down a lillard can be had for $500 or less?? Who knows
