I hate the Celtics but Rondo is an amazing player. He is good across the board. You can't say that about most players.

Frustrating, cant have any Celtics threads without a fight or nonsense being brought in.
I would not waste your time reporting him. They do not care. Just ignore and move on. No one takes him seriously at this point.

He rebounds, the assists, he plays great defense, he shoots at high percentage.

Aside from free throw shooting, what is not to like?

Is that really a question? You do not understand what good across the board is?

I believe we are talking about Rondo and not if the Celtics won or not
Also I think there's a Heat thread where you and your buddies can talk about how much you hate Rondo

I guess I just don't think he's a good shooter.

I'm not knocking him, he does a lot of things well, I just wouldn't say he's good in all categories

What qualifies as a good shooter?

All, but mid-range/threes, which he is improving in.

Edit just saw this http://www.nba.com/advancedstats/pla...01213;season=r and he is actually shooting 52% from midrange

See a post like this doesn't bother me because he brings up a valid point unlike some of the trolls.

Figured you would not be able to quantify it.

Is Deron Williams a good shooter to you?

I criticize players often, but that doesn't mean I'm not a fan.

I love the Bulls, and Derrick Rose, but I'll be the first to admit he needs to learn how to perform in the clutch, be it free throws or shooting, he tends to struggle in big moments, even at Memphis

Gets left open from 18 feet, then drives and creates an easy basket or passes it off for an assist, still fail to see the problem, sometimes he makes an 18 footer, sometimes he misses.

wait for it.

...

JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER PLAYER IN THE NBA

Lol you are joking right. I have said this time after time as well as other facts. Yet when I say it it's trolling lmao.

Celtics fans can dish it out but start whining when someone else does it to them.

The fact is rondo proved a major flaw in his game tonight. Which of course I've said multiple times. And guess what it caused them to lose. Yup I was right.

I don't watch a lot of him, but I'd imagine he's usually guarded pretty tight in the mid-range

Ray Allen or Reggie Miller, top 2 3 point shooters of all time, do they make more 3's then they miss?

Does Lebron miss every other 18 footer?

I'm trying to have an intelligent discussion about this and some people just don't get it.

Those guys are good shooters and they are often times guarded very tightly, even Rondo knows he's not a great shooter which is why he doesn't take a lot of jump shots.

I realize this is a slight criticism on him, but you guys are really taking this personally. Is he your brother? Cousin? Childhood friend?

And shoots below average in those situations.

LOL, Wonder who that sounds like???

Yes a triple double is a huge flaw in Rondo's game. I am pretty sure most players wouldn't make a mid range shot when they were slipping and falling like he was.

Rondo shots 52% from mid range, better then LeBron, Wade, Paul, Williams, Westbrook, Kobe, etc.

Yes how the players are covered in Midrange might differ but still shooting better at mid range then them is still impressive, to say.
