Question Fleer Retro - To Buy or not To Buy? That is my Question

For some reason, I want to open a box of Fleer Retro Basketball. I see the current price [$480 / box] and wonder what kind of value I can expect from this product. If any of you have opened this before, let me know what kind of resale value the cards get assuming I don't pull some big-ass Jordan PMG or some other such beast.

Thank you for your help.

Its really hit or miss but i opened around 5 boxes. I hit both cards in my avatar the others had a Magic Johnson auto, and 2 other Blue PMG. But this is when i bought them at $300 a box. At $480 a box you can expect to get around $150 or so back so not a very good break...but then again you can hit the jackpot

Seems like a pretty bad bet I guess. The only 2 pmg worth $ are LBJand jordan. 2 of 40 --> 5% chance of getting a good box. Ouch. Too bad I didn't buy one @ 200$...

Probably a better idea is to take 480$ to the casino and play poker. Good chance to triple up and then buy a Jordan pmg on eBay.

I suggest picking up some PMG reds of some great players at dollars now instead.
Mainly collecting Kobe and Jordan cards.

PLMK if you want to sell cards which I might need. Thx!

As a guy who pulled one of the best cards out of the product, I say do NOT buy at that price! It's already super-inflated. $480 can, and will likely hand you a big loss and a handful of $5-50 cards.

But if you're up for the gamble then go for it! My recommendation is that it's not a wise bust at this point!
