Default Anybody ever Graph Shootaround?

i would like to know the best time to get there for shootaround to try t get autographs. Seems like John Wall is a pretty good signer and i am going to the Heat/Wizards Game. Anybody know??

Also if anyone knows what hotel they stay at, that would be great

I would think they're most likely to sign when they first come out. Wall is a good dude ans always signed for everyone at UK, I'd assume he still does.

If the game starts at 7:30, generally what time would shoot around start? last time i went to a game was at least 2 years ago

I have literally never been to a NBA game. Call the arena and ask...

Yeah some players sign during shootaround if you go right when the doors open. Not sure what time it is for a Heat/Wizards game but at a lakers 7:30 game the stadium opens up at 6:00. I have gotten Wall before so think you have a good chance if he is out practicing, good luck!

I've been getting IP autos at shoot around here in OKC for about 4 years now. Typically the NBA sets the schedule for the doors opening at a given arena exactly 1 1/2 hours before game time.

The first few years, I focused mainly on Thunder players, So Ive got 25-30 autos of most players, but the last 2 seasons I've really been trying to get visiting teams.

The one thing that makes it difficult, is that each player group has a set "warm up" time. (So, two or three players will come out in a small group and shoot around, and then go back into the loccker room, for 2-3 different players to come out and replace them) And typically the big time stars, have their shoot around 2-2 1/2 hours before tip off...So, they have already gone back into the locker room, before those doors open.

A few times a year, my season ticket rep can get me in before the doors open, and it is pretty much an auto free for all. The only guys I remember ever telling me NO, or just gnoring me were Lebron James, Chris Bosh, and Kevin Garnett. Literally walked by me, like I didnt exist.

My suggestion would be to call someone within the organization, and ask if there is an employee that could escort you/let you in 10 minutes before the doors officially open. It also helps to have a younger sibling, or young child to get you in! (Thats always been my secret.)

I would probaby start with season ticket sales. Ask for an actual account rep. Maybe explain to them, that you migth be interested in buying seaosn tickets, but would love to get some player autographs. See if anyone could help you out.

I read the subject and thought it was about spatial graphing of shooting locations.

I graph the nba all the time at Phillips Arena here in Atlanta. I arrive no later than 5:30 to be in line to go in the building at 6. Most of the time I am able to graph both teams. However there are usually a few times a year when the same security guard that you see ever day gets mad because he/she didn't get any the previous night and tries to block you from getting any autos. Also certian teams such as the current celtics or the pistons a few years when rasheed wallace played there are not autograph friendly. Other than that if you arrive on time and bring something for each player, coach, announcer, etc from both team to sign you should walk away very happy.

Durant is one of the best I've seen in regards to signing. It doesnt matter of there are 50 people in line,. He starts at the very first in line, and signs ever single person.

I think some guys are just good guys about that, Jason Kidd of all people was really good about that from what I saw. At MSG, I'm 3rd row near the visitors bench and the security is a pain in the as$ abt getting autogrpahs but if you get there when the doors open some guys are cool with it and the players will sign. It all depends on who and where but my advice is get ther as early as humanly possible for the best shot.

Biggest waste of time here in miami. They dont let you stand where they come in from shootaround. They only let you in an hour before the game and you cannot stand in the first 4 rows of waiting

i went to the clippers celtics game lastnight and got there right when they opened the doors cause my son is a celtics fan and we wanted to try get some auto's. found out that at the staples center, they won't let you down by the tunnel unless you have seats in that section or the usher told me about some kind of pass you sign up for in advance and they let you in a half hour earlier (i forget what he said, i was just really bummed cause my son had all his celtics cards ready for this). and since we were early, we just got to watch as other people got autographs
