Default Andre Drummond Hobby Potential..

Im just curious to see what some you think about Andre as a investment? I like his skill set and his energy. Watching him play last night and the kid was ballin.. I think he is high risk high reward kinda player..

Centers don't seem to sell all that well, so I would think he has a low ceiling. Great card though!

Drummond is DeAndre Jordan part 2. Good not great player....don't think he's got much of a hobby ceiling.

I think if I had his gold Prizm I would look to sell because as someone said before centers don't sell we'll. some people perceive him as a future superstar. I would say cash in on that.

Does Calvinxlionsx81 have that one yet? If not, I'm sure he'd love to get it.
Sweet card.

Looks to be the same card #1/10 that's on eBay right now. I think he could be the next Dwight Howard and I picked up one of hid golds the other day for my PC

So out of curiosity, what are your guys thoughts on him about a month later now since this thread has been made?

I don't ever get to see him play, but he seems to put up pretty good numbers in limited play.

Who is comparable to in the NBA?

Low minutes will kill his career and hobby appeal. Centers never do well in the hobby

A poor mans McGee

i think he will be the next greg oden just without his injuries.

he has so much potential and he is an athletic player which is rare for his size.

but sometimes when you see him play it seems that he doesnt have a clue what he is doing on the court.he still needs to learn many things but he can become a very good player.

too bad his cards are already selling that high, thats way too high for a Player who hasnt showed that he can dominate in the league.

Awesome! My brother is in town and randomly got tickets for us to go the Bucks/Pistons game tonight.

For as random and non-appealing of a game as it sounds, it should be pretty fun!

lol, Im sorry this made me laugh. The guy is barely 19 years old, and played in only 30 games and has actually looked really good for the limited minutes he gets.

I live in Detroit and watch pretty much every game. He is a difference maker. Pretty much alters every shot when an opponent gets in the lane. Also, he has a couple lob dunks a game. Very athletic and can run like a deer. Seems to have his head on his shoulders too. I think he has the potential to be the best Center in the league at some point.

I think that he will be a solid ballplayer, may make a couple of AS games but that's it. If you are looking for him to become the next Hakeem keep dreaming.

DeAndre Jordan clone...

Which is not a bad thing but the Pistons have to start playing better in order for him to get to that superstar status

Im still a firm believer that card prices have more to do with popularity than about how good a player is on court. Cards rise in price because of demand. But demands doesnt come from a player doing well. For that reason Drummond stands no chance of going nuts on prices. (Just my opinion here). Add in the factor he doesnt play in LA or NY.

Just buy guys that have popularity. Anytime EU or Asians are crazy about a player, the prices spike. White Chocolate? Lin? Latrell Sprewell. They love bad boys!

He's got tantalizing potential. Really needs to develop his free throw shooting, but he is kind of a freak. The difference between him and DeAndre Jordan is, he's capable of being a much better scorer and is most definitely a better rebounder. His development is already much further along than most imagined at this point.

Clearly.

I picked up a Hakeem Green Prizm for like $7 and was looking for a Rodman and they seem to sell about $23.

Clearly Hakeem was a better player than Rodman, but Rodman is definitely the more popular player
