Default Kobe now with 8 straight 30+ points
EDIT: Now 8 straight

Too old they say. Kobe most likely the only player at age 34 years old to have 30+ points in consecutive games. Kobe making history yet again. Number 4 all-time spot is his for the taking next.


1. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 38,387 (+8,135)
2. Karl Malone 36,928 (+6,676)
3. Michael Jordan 32,292 (+2,040)
4. Wilt Chamberlain 31,419 (+1,167)
5. Kobe Bryant 30,252

How many were in losses? Worthless stat IMO

Most of those were hero ball 3s when the game was basically over, then the game turned to "at least let Kobe score his average"

3-4. Lakers are a mess, live and die by Kobe, having Nash and Pau would alleviate his burden.

i'm glad lakers won today, would have been another negative statistic against kobe in the category of kobe over 30 pts, lakers loss.

I didn't say to blame Kobe...

I'm just pointing out what's really important in a team sport.....THE TEAM.

Kobe can have a great year this season, if his team doesn't win, none of his stats really matter.

The 2012-13 Lakers were built to win a championship, anything short of that will be a failure.

I don't like Kobe but anyone that thinks they can even hold his jock strap is a dreamer !

Kobe Is a beast , will be nice to see him pass Jordan .

Kobe has been great this year compared to last but on 41 shot attempts he better get 30.

41 Shots, and he is playing with other All star players. Amazing how they cant see the reason why they suck. Its Kobe messing up the chemistry. He digs them into deep holes, then plays hero ball at the end.

When he went to the bench, thats when the Lakers came back

Kobe's ego is too big. He can't see that shooting all those shots is not how you play team ball. What reason is there to tell him otherwise, he has 5 championships to show for it, it gives him little reason to change.

So do you think that it will convince Howard to stick around?

They got the best center in the game and they cant even utilize him, loss of a season for Dwight. They have him like a Pony to just pickup fouls and be doubled teamed why Kobe shoots away.

Yes....and that would be more significant if the Heat weren't 16-6.
There are different type of fans in this world... Some root for a team to be successful and some root for players. Each have there own reason for why they root for who they do.

I am a celtics fan and would take a win over a performance where Pierce gets 35 and they lose or rondo gets 20 assist and they lose.

Oh there you go, everyone else is posting facts. All of a sudden you go posting stuff irrelevant to the subject.

DHoward is no Kobe supporter. He's already expressed that he wishes to be on a team that gives him a good chance at a title. He owes no loyalty to Kobe nor LA. If this Kobe, Nash, Howard trio doesn't come around soon, say bye bye to Howard.

Sounds like a ball hog to me....

If anyone that doesn't watch or know anything about basketball saw these stats they would ask if there are any other people on the team. Taking 40+ shots a game why isn't he scoring about 60 points a game?
