USA Prizm Golds v Base Prizm Golds

I was told when i started getting into the hobby again a few years back that you should always buy "true" rookies not inserts and that inserts will not hold their value down the road.

Any chance that the USA golds will hold more value than the base golds? They just are unusually nice and Olympic cards do really well usually.

I own several prizm golds and recently bought but haven't received 1 USA gold, but I just think the golds might have some long term value, thoughts?

Base Prizm gold for me over USA. Is close, Panini did a great job on them and the design.

I would take a USA over base any day

A USA set would be stunning. I know lots of people doing refractor USA sets

. This is a exemption to the rule with the USA inserts .

If you look on eBay how many USA golds are available

Even the green ref and regular refractors USA are selling great over the base ones

Base prism will probably hold more value. The USA are quite nice though.

I would also agree that the "Rule of thunb" says, that the base would be the better card...but proof is in the pudding...the USA versions are clearly selling better. In the long run, I feel like the USA version will be more sought after.

They are gorgeous!

i would hope and agree that the usa golds should be THE card to hit... also the MVP golds are really nice. but anyway, the issue here is that prizm golds are so all over the place, like durant and harden it seems like the gold sells better but other players seem like the base does better.

USA will be more rare as they should only come out every 4th year? USA is the card to have I think!

I wonder if we will see an even bigger jump in these prices as they dry up. I got my Harden USA for 170, He is now 4th in the league in scoring on a surprising winning team, I wonder how high the ceiling is there.

How about the idea of more collectors doing sets of the USA golds, hence more demands for the USA golds .

I would take Anthony davis base RC Gold over his USA Gold, but for other players, i would take the USA gold since they base gold is just regular base card and not rookie.

that i cannot tell you, i should be getting a usa gold today or tomorrow and i have several regualr golds, the regulars are awesome, but i think the other 2 will look nicer in person.

In the long run, I feel like the USA version will be more sought after. They are gorgeous!
