That was ridiculous, we had absolutely no business winning that game, we played like complete crap. But at the same time it just goes to show you how good we actually are to still pull this one out with how badly we played.

I think he got the shot off, but on the frame by frame shot it looked like at :01 it was still on his fingertips, but in the next frame at :00 it wasn't. I think it was just too close to make any definitive call one way or the other so they sent it to overtime. I think if that shot had tied the game instead of winning it, it would have been called good.

Either way we lucked out of our first loss of the season but it doesn't really matter as its still a W and this should light a fire under our players to come out with some passion against Utah

I also don't think we'd have fallen that far, I think we'd fall to right in front of Minnesota

Colorado is a very good team this year, they have three losses and those three teams have a combined 1 loss this year (Arizona 13-0, Wyoming 13-0, Kansas 12-1) with all three losses coming on the road too.

Completely agree that they didnt deserve it, and if this game wasn't in AZ it wouldn't have gone to OT. The officials had no right to change the call as it was ruled a shot on the floor.

It wasn't ruled a made shot on the floor, they never made a ruling

ESPN added the points to their score on their own but from all accounts afterward, the officials made no indication of a made or missed shot, they went right to the monitors

I was assuming they did because they did not wave it off until after they supposedly watched the replay. Either way a terrible call (&i am an AZ fan too)

I wouldn't say it was a terrible call, I'd just say it was the wrong call

The conferences officials coordinator already said it was the right call as there was no definitive angle of the ball having left the players hand with time still on the clock. You also have to remember that for whatever reason, they don't use HD TVs for those replays, so a little bit of non sharp edges can make the ball still look like its in his hand and they have to call it as they see it.

I still think he foot it off, but understand why they called it that way, and as I said before, I think they went with the solution of that there was no definitive picture of him getting the shot off in time so they went with the call that kept the game going. Had that shot tied the game, I fully believe it would have been called a make to send it to OT and let the teams decide the outcome

Either way, all that matters is 13-0 baby, and Arizona is also now the only team in the country with 3 top 25 RPI wins with Florida, Miami, and Colorado all being top 25 RPIs right now (and beat SDSU on top of those)

People can still debate whether we're elite or not if they choos as those three wins were all very close obviously, but one thing this team can do is battle late in tough games, they've proven that multiple times and come out on top.

That will pay off huge dividends come March

Some very good points made in your post but a game changing wrong call is a terrible call imo. Especially when they had time to make the right call HD or not

I guess if you put it that way then yes it would be a terrible call

But I think even worse than that one since it was so close, was the phantom call on Lyons when the CU player slipped at half court.

That would have been an easy layup and made it a 1 point game with :45 left, totally different game if that happens and that call was ridiculously bad

Oh yea, and when the CU player just ripped NJ to the ground by his arm, that should have been an intentional foul, 2 shots and the ball.

And at the same time, Hill should have never been left on the court after that substitution, the refs were just all around awful tonight.

We haven't played well for the last month, we've pulled games out of our asses when we should have lost

We lost to a good Oregon team in a tough environment tonight and I fully expect us to drop another game or two in the next couple weeks. This team has some issues to work out, and when/if it does, we'll be a legit contender for the FF this year.

But right now we just don't look like we care, and it's killing me watching them play like that, because we have the players to make a run, we just need them playing well
