I still think the Lakers make the playoffs.

1. Thunder
2. Clippers
3. San Antonio
4. Memphis
5. Denver
6. Golden State
7. Lakers
8. Rockets

Be careful with this thread. Many users get mad if you doubt the lakers or any of there players....especially Kobe.

I think they do make the playoffs as a 6-8 seed...

If I remember correctly Jameer Nelson had a torn labrum in 09 and missed half the season.

You just love trying to stir it up. Yet you are not the problem whatsoever...

All the lakers need to do is make the playoffs. That should be the goal. Because once you are in anything can happen especially for a talented team.

Mike dantoni coach, hurt Dwight for extended period of time prob, no depth...wouldn't be surprised if they missed the playoffs.

I'm starting to get glad that the Nets didn't trade Brooks, Lopez and picks for Dwight.

it will be crazy if they miss the playoffs, the heat took so much criticism for losing in the finals their first year together, what will be said if the l.a. super team doesnt even make the first round?

I am really starting to think they will miss the playoffs as well. These injuries sure aren't helping their cause either.

Im sure the heat will come down on Laker fans and the team. I personally will take it. But I havent written them off for this year and missing the playoffs.

Just want Kobe to win 2 more rings before retirement!! Will finish off his career with a cherry!!

Not the way they are playing at least. Man I even hear in ESPN radio this morning that Kobe and Dwight almost got in a fight in the locker room after the loss to the 76ers. Kobe trying to blame Dwight on his defensive effort or something. Man how bout try to keep corey brewer infront of you first before you talk to Dwight. man........

the team is under 500 in early january having said that there is still alot of basketball left to be played, the schedule is only getting tougher now and with injuries to pau and dwight for significant portions of the year, it will be interesting to see how much they ask out of kobe and nash and will there be a coaching change? will the front office go out and get a couple good bench players they desperately need! alot of questions to be answered in LA! my instinct tells me it wont end well! that whole franchise has been disorientated the last few years since phil stepped down. one night they have it and one night they just dont! theyre a mystery team, they should be under investigation kinda like the NY football giants!

i hear that! lol...
its different tho, i feel like the giants lack motivation because they have won 2 in the last 5 years...
kobe never lacks motivation and dwight hasnt won yet...
well motivation and the secondary
