Default Does hand numbering on a card increase value?

I decided to try & collect all 35 of these Reggie Miller cards, so when I pulled it out to look at it, I noticed it was hand numbered. Does this make a difference at all?

Earlier / Older cards were hand numbered, also buybacks.

IMO its way to easy to do and also if you look at your card it seems like someone added the 3 to the 1 to make it a magical "jersey numbered" card.

Not sure if that card was numbered also

Yeah, none of the others were numbered. I hope some #@#@#@#@#@#@#@ didn't do that.

I've owned quite a few of those buy backs. They sell well if you get the "cult " players. Easy to spot fakes too. Real ones have an embossed stamp on the front or the back. Hard to see but if you put it under a light, it magically appears!

You still have pleanty of people out there who believe that hand numbering comes from the players...... so yeah, depending on the day and who sees it, they should sell for a premium. I know that the hand numbering is done by a company worker, so I try to stay away whenever possibly. One exception to hand numbering for me would be the 2001 Greats of the Game All-American Autographs. Those are beautiful cards to me, and the hand numbering is put in a great spot, so it doesn't take away from the card imo. So it all depends on the person and the particular card.

Nice Reggie btw.

These come for the 04-05 premium set many of these buybacks were skybox seal stamped and hand numbered.Beckett fails to acknowledge some of them that are actually in the set.all these cards should have a stamp o the front typically somewhere in the center

In general I think hand-numbering is less appealing because of the manipulation that can be done to them, as you have found above.
