It is nothing to do with personal opinions of the designs anymore! It is all about 'return on investment'.


In one thread, you see people post that David Lee is one of the best PF's at this very moment, then in another you see someone complain that the auto of him they pulled is a 'scrub auto'!

Or that James Harden is the next 'best SG in the league' but his cards are not enough to be the hit of a box???

It is the collectors that are ruining the value in the boxes!

Not for some of us... I've been saying for a long time that Panini's idea of making something look quality is just to make it glossy. Well, that's not good enough.
I liked the Trophy Case set they had in 11-12 Limited. Most other things I wouldn't go near because they just look weak to me.
Like I said before, I loved busting Topps Chrome football despite the complete zero return from the box, because it was fun (and had lots of content, PLUS the chance of hitting something BIG). Panini just aren't that to me, as someone just mentioned - they are a marketing company now.

I dont bust as much as I used to. I busted a case of UD black because I got it cheap. No MJ or Lebron auto from my case. I sold most of it off the same year it came out so I didnt cash in on the hype in recent years.

I havent busted any Panini. I bought 1 box of Certified this year and killed it. Was in a 5 case Prizm break and got the Lakers as my team slot.

I havent lost my shirt!!! lol

I hardly break boxes, I wait for the treasure hunters to break cases and whine about not getting their 1 billion dollar hit. Then I fly in and win their .99+shipping auctions for their "worthless" hits. Great way to keep the little people in Box/case breaks are a loss no matter who the company is, and that's a fact.

I guess that makes me either Tracy Hackler or a stoopid Puunaani supporter

Not all of it was stickers, Keep supporting panini, I am sure you don't bust their stuff which is why you praise them.

Buying singles has always been the way to go. But as far as busting, put yourself in the position of the guys busting and all the crap panini keeps force feeding. Without these busters, there would be no singles. So you got to feel for them also.

Not a personal attack, but the only times I've ever seen you post is bagging UD/bringing them up in an anti-Panini thread. Is that all you do on here? Did you bust UD and get upset with them (which is understandable) and you're just trying to show people that all companies are bad?

I did! I busted a ton of UD product back in the day. TO date never pulled an MJ or Lebron auto yet. UD was all out bad luck for me!

Try a few panini cases and see if your luck changes

I have busted tons of UD and tons of Panini, and I can tell you for a fact, I was never excited after or before I opened a Panini product.

Have I gotten hosed by UD? Sure, Premier and Ultimate busted 6 cases and got hosed. But still not anywhere close to the type of hosing Panini bought with the over 20 cases of different products I busted from them. I have stopped busting panini.

Singles are the way to go, but someone still needs to bust them out and take one for the team :-)

Infact the last purchase on cases I made was 6 cases of Fleer Retro at $164/box. My Lcs ended up buying them all back from me lol.

I cant stomach opening cases anymore whether its UD or Panini.

First off, how about you go to the first year of UD Black? 06-07 was almost entirely stickers. Not to mention that product was redemption only. It wasn't even packed out. The next couple of years became majority on-card and they made some very nice stuff. If it was the other way around, you guys would be still complaining about the one year of stickers or if there was one sticker in the product you guys would have a freak out

I used to love busting cases & boxes, still do but as time goes by more & more I don't like Panini products.

I'd much rather bust older Topps & UD products even with expired redemptions at risk instead of all the new Panini stuff.

Yea but thats Epic Century Legends set. Noway Bibby in 99 should be in a "legends" product period. Same with Beasley
