Chris Paul overrated?

I was just noticing hes #1 on the MVP rankings on nba.com. I dont understand how he can be ahead of Lebron of Durant. His team is so stacked. What do you guys think? LAC just got dumped on by The Magic. Im very impressed by Vucevic

I am a huge Chris Paul fan and he shouldnt be 1st in the MVP power rankings. Top four for sure but not first.

I don't think he is #1, but he is definitely up there.

The team may be stacked, but he is the reason why they are doing so well.

Aside from that, I would have Durant, Lebron, and Melo in front of him.

you dont think the Heat are loaded w/stars?

Im not a Clippers fan but Chris Paul is a very heady player. He makes the others around him better with his passes/assists.

Durant is a close second if not first. But who really cares? I dont...

If Chris paul tore his ACL, LAC would still be a good team. If Durant tore his ACL, you think Westbrook, with his hot head, can lead that team? Durant should be MVP this year hands down. Second is lebron, than melo,

personally, i would vote for carmelo

-knicks are exceeding expectations (compared to clippers, heat, thunder)
-carmelo is their only all-star (unless you want to count amare who hasnt played more than half the season & also comes off the bench now) where as lebron has wade/bosh, chris paul has blake griffin, and durant has westbrook as all-star teammates who are starers/contributors to their respective team

minutes per game:
carmelo 37.1
chris paul 33.4
lebron 38.6
durant 39.4

even if it's not carmelo who wins, i def cant see chris paul being in the top 3, esp when he plays the least minutes of the 4 (wouldnt that mean that his team needs him less?)

Part of the reason he plays less minutes per game is that many time the Clippers win by a large amount and he isn't need at the end of games.

The bolder stats for KD really tell the story why he should win.

CP3 deserves a MVP award, he got robbed a few years back when Kobe won it (again) with several critics saying Chris Paul is young and will get one in the later future. Now I say it's CP3 time and Durant is young and will win one in the future. If not CP3 then it's Melo's time

With rose in the lineup they won the most games in the regular season. Will they do that without Rose? Or beatings the Heat?

Chicago is doing very well for not having Rose. Knicks are a good team.... with Melo playing. CP3 has a stacked team, thats all im saying. When you have good teammates, and when you pass them the ball, they are more likely to make shots(thus higher assists). If you put Deron Willieams in CP3s place, he would do just as good.

Huh? So when Jordan retired the first time and Scottie took the bulls to the Eastern Conf Championship and almost to the finals....does that mean MJ shouldn't have gotten those MVPs then? Cause obviously the 90's Bulls were a pretty good team even without MJ.

Paul plays some of if not the best defense in the entire NBA.

I don't consider over rated. In fact, only one player even gives him problems who is Deron Williams, he even did it to him in college. Not even Kobe has given him problems.

Lebron will probably be the best player in the nba for some time but okc and clips own the best records so either cp or durant should get it at this point, both are deserving and no cp's not overated usually only haters say so, okc is also stacked with clips having deeper bench but durant has better starters to work with then cp, if u replaced cp with dwill clipps become first rnd exit
