IT really depends on what the thought process of a collector is. I rather have a 90s 1/1 over a current 1/1 logoman/auto. My reason for this is because of nostolgia. I grew up collecting during that era and it fits my hobby goals if I had the budget (which I didnt when I was young, which I dont today with the influx in price increase). But if I did, and money was no concern, I could easily drop $10k on the card. Sadly for me, its not a top priority as 10k goes much further for bills than for cards.

As for the auction, way too many fishy bidders. Apparently atleast 3 of the top bidders going to war ironically happen to be from Taiwan as well.

that doesnt seem right. I mean if that is 70k, than some of Michael jordans cards should be worth 200k+

How do you compare what another player is worth all because a penny fake sells for an insane amount.

if i had that kind of money to spend on a card, i'd just get in touch with his agent (assuming he still has one for personal appearances, etc.) and offer $50K just for one night to hang with the guy, grab some chow, and sign some of my own cards of him. wouldn't that be much more worth it!
