Im having a hard time understanding a few of the SEC projections right now to be honest.

I know is a down year compared to usual with UK being bad..and the clear cut definates are FL and Mizzou...

but how is UK still top 25 and considered as of today a #10 seed...

they've lost to every big team they've played- Duke, ND, Louisville, FL and lost to Baylor and an average AM team in SEC play...also half of their SEC wins have come against teams with .500 record or worse (Vandy, USC Auburn twice).

There only big win could be considered Ole Miss.

and also likewise for Ole Miss...#16 overall and also a 10 seed as of today...

Thier OOC schedule was terrible...with the "best" team being MTSU, in which they LOST.

They also lost to Indiana St OOC. And FL, Mizzou and average AM in conference.

Their only big win was against Mizzou...

but teams like Bama, who played a decent Nova (W), Louisville (L by 2), and VCU...

only knocks would be 3 bad OOC losses (Mercer, Tulane, Dayton) and a bad SEC loss to Auburn...

Arkansas played Wisci, SY and Michigan in OOC (all 3 L)...only bad losses were to USC and Vandy in conference but both of those were away games...and they beat #2 FL

or even a Tennessee team...looking at their record you might think was a joke/stretch...

but they played: OK St, Georgetown (lost by 1), UVA (3rd in ACC), Wichita St (who were ranked at time), Xavier (W) and Memphis (close loss) in OOC play...

they are only 3 games off UK's overrall record, and same for the SEC...but the difference is, UT actually beat Xavier and Wichita St for decent wins...whereas UK only beat Ole Miss.

soo confusing...or is UK still only so high based off pre-season rank/hype and name?

Kentucky was bad with Noel, so there is no reason they deserve to be in the tournament or will survive the first round without him.

For UK, even though the SEC is terrible this year UK jumped into the top 25 by building an 8-2 conference mark against no one good as there only decent win was Ole Miss. The problem with this is that Ole Miss beat no one of any value OOC and there one good win was against Missouri at the time. They then fell off a cliff losing to LSU and Texas A&M before squashing Ole Miss after those terrible losses. Ole Miss compounded this by losing to Texas A&M themselves this week.

The reality is Florida is the only top 25 caliber team in the conference. And every one else is fairly interchangeable. Guessing who else might find there way into the Big Dance is such a crapshoot because the next 4 teams:

Kentucky
Alabama
Mississippi
Missouri

have beaten no one this year worth a damn OOC with the possible exception of Missouri over Illnois which should be worth something even with Illinois falling apart in very very tough Big Ten conference play. I'll be curious to see how many seeds they actually get because the OOC conference scheduling and play for the SEC this year was inexcusable.

Kentucky already losing by 12 early against Tennessee. A big loss should knock them out of the bracket unless they somehow win the SEC tournament.

Imo this will be a huge win for UT unless they somehow blow it in the 2nd half...

i think they have a very underrates SOS given who theyve played, this win would put them at 6-6 in SEC play and 3 good wins against UK, Wichita ST and Xavier

ahhh yes I remember how I got clowned a couple weeks ago saying Ohio State had zero chance to make the final four... Hell they aren't going to make it past the first round... a 12 or an 11 seed is going to knock them out.
