Hobby Box help needed! Prizm vs. Totally Certified

So this weekend I will be getting a hobby box, it'll be either Prizm or Totally Certified. So my question is, which is better and why?

TC, because pretty much the only way prizm could be good is if you get a gold or a kyrie, or some big name auto which are pretty scarce. and TC has good value

TC has about 6 chances of getting a good card. Plus scarce chance at blacks.
Prizm only has 4 chances of getting a good card. (2 autos, 2 refractors) Like blacks from tc, the have gold.
But basic math suggests 6>4...
plus 6 numbered cards from TC at least

That's a great point as well. Only thing I don't like is that I've seen weak breaks from both boxes and luck is never on my side

TC is also about 25-30 cheaper right now per box and you're looking at 6 hits vs 2 autos and some refractors

2 in everycase and its a 330 card base set with a bunch of inserts so actually pretty hard to get a good one

In theory if the box prices were the same mathematically its TC, but I've had much more luck with Prizm and the resale is better on base and inserts. In TC you can get 3 crap jerseys and sell them on ebay for like 2.59 (see my completed listings). I have sold mini base and insert lots for 8-10 bucks. My vote is Prizm.

I have been watching some of Chris' breaks on YouTube of both products and it looks like Prizm seems to have better results. Plus w/ Prizm you get so many more packs to open, more RC's, refractors, ect. Right now, I think Prizm might be the better bang for my buck even if it is only 2 hits vs 6 hits. Only downside if you only get 2 auto's in Prizm, where in TC, you get 6 hits, but 4 end up being single color swatches.

It's 3 autos in TC. and most of the time you get a patch, unlike me, but I pulled an emerald

i broke two boxes of TC 5 out of my 6 autos the players had played in the d-league at some point this season. PRIZM

So I have a handful of TC and a couple for Prizm. Any one else have some input? I like the fact that you get 6 hits in TC vs. 2 in Prizm, but I like the refractors and RC's from Prizm, but the box could be a wash with 2 scrub hits.

TC is by far the best break. Prizm has it's big cards, but it's going to be extremely difficult to pull a top dollard gold.

Here's the valuables I pulled from prizm so far - Lebron refractor($48), Kemba auto(PC), Brandon Knight auto($27), lillard base ($15) and everything else was junk and scrubs.

Here's the valuables I pulled from TC so far - Kobe HRX Auto ($750), Durant HRX (300 in trade), Tristan Thompson Black patch 1 of 1 (385), Tyrus Thomas green patch (PC), chandler parsons gold auto ($125) and a bunch of gold and blue rookies sold for upwards of 8 bucks, some as higher than 15.

For me, I'd go with Prizm only if I was doing a case break. I'd do TC if i'm breaking 1 or 2 boxes. Plus, the emerald Lillard RC are still in the TC product, and those are numbered to 5.

Thank you jumbogorilla! That was very insightful and actually helped me out a lot. And I think I might have to go with TC. I love the look of both cards but lets just hope that the girlfriend has a hot hand and gets some sick pulls for me this weekend! Maybe I'll buy a box of TC and a few loose packs of Prizm depending on the price they are going for. Still would love to hear more about what everyone thinks of these products!
