raymond felton was having a better year than deron williams until he got hurt, pretty underrated, i think bosh is pretty underrated and on a superstar level, pierce hits more game winners than anyone the last ten yrs but seems to get put in that 2/3 tier of stars... but the most underrated player in the nba... this year only... Robin Lopez.

I know he's an All Star but to me n°1 is Tony Parker. I mean this guy is just amazing and when people talk about the Spurs it's always Duncan, Popovic or the great organisation. He came from nowhere and is one of the more consistent player each year. He also plays very good defense which is pretty rare and hard to do at his position considering the number of speedy point guard in the league.

I'm not a Spurs fan at all but to me Tony Parker deserves more consideration.

Theres no box score stat for individual defense, so naturally the best defenders are underrated. When he's healthy, Nene is one of the top 3 or 4 individual post defenders in the league and has dramtically improved his team any time he's been at full strength. One of the few players ever capable of locking up tim duncan one on one.

Along those same lines, tyson chandler seems to turn every team he plays for into a contender.

To me its interesting that these two are clearly better players than ben wallace ever was, but only get a fraction of the hype. Perhaps because they dont have the big afro and arent as painfully deficient offensive players...
