Even with the amount of refractors out there, im having trouble finishing up 2 refractor sets of the base.

You asked the question. You got an answer!

As for Prizm greens..

I think the parallel limits are
Gold = Rarest
Prizm = Ref Rare
Green = Uncommon
Regular = common
I don't think that's totally right. How many prizm refractors do you get in a hobby box? I thought 2-3, the same amount of greens per retail box. So if those are the same insertion ratio, there has to be less greens since there's certainly less retail than hobby.

1 hobby box yeilds 2 or 3 refractors. Sometimes that refractor is replaced by an auto or an insert refractor.

Ive seen anywhere between 3 to 7 greens being pulled per box. I dont know the average as I havent seen enough boxes cracked from retail.

If you get 3 refs from a hobby box and 3 golds from a retail box, they are probably in the same realm of limitation. I cant confirm how many retail cases were made. But the reason why you see a ton of refractors is because a ton more is broken of hobby than retail. I cant confirm the actual numbers. Those were my opinion on how tough the cards are.

Its pretty obvious the greens outsell the refractors tho!!

Are you sure there is less retail than hobby?

There are a TON of walmarts and targets across the nation and not a whole lot of card shops. I have a feeling you'll be surprised at the true numbers. I've heard that as little as 10% of card company revenue comes from hobby outlets and that as high as 90% comes from sales to retail chain stores.

There are about 100 reg refs 10xs gold

You can order 5 cases of hobby now but you can't order 1 case of retail .

Even if the regular are /100 that's still pretty limited and I see lots of growth potential for the regular refractors.

Nobody has retail cases . Nobody in ny has hobby or retail boxes .

I go to target Walmart every other day and there has not been any here since week before Christmas and I know when it's restocked on Tuesday or Wed.

I've also seen box breaks where there was only 1 green. All I meant was your list of rareness. You have prizm ref at rare and the greens as uncommon. They are at least the same rarity, but I'd probably say greens are more so than ref.

Why sell now? Why not wait and raise the prices and sell them?

Say its $100 a box now. No supply. In 3 weeks they have 20 cases at $120/box. People would still buy it. Ride the concept of short on supply while its hot!!

I dont think it has any relation to football release. The two sports have distinct collectors.

50 or less . Alot on eBay have been relisted and sold .

But even if its a 100 people will want the green over the regular .

The green MVP is nicer then the regular the USA is nice in all 3 .

Base are nicer in reg ref I think .

I bought a case from the Panini store about 3 weeks ago. About a week after that, another 45 or so boxes were available but I decided not to buy them. Someone else did, and has them on eBay at $120 OBO. While I understand that timing means everything, I have looked nearly everyday at Panini for more and haven't seen any available.

Can you imagine the fallout against Panini if they held back "retail only" product in order to raise the price directly from their store?

Also it's certainly harder to find retail bulk. At most you'll find one box at a time. I know they restock but I mean for one stop there will be 1 box out.

For sure. I mean how many retail locations are there across the US in Wal Mart, Target, Walgreens and whatever else vs Hobby card shops?
